This came as a direct result of the lap record the ACR took at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, where it was found that this shorter ratio would have allowed an even faster lap time. The ACRs also got a new short-throw shifter for better driving experience and performance. Also, the aerodynamics improved with the redesign of the wing and end plate profiles which led to an increase in overall top speed by 4 MPH. The four-wheel independent suspension features high-performance aluminum control arms and knuckles, KW suspension with two-way adjustable competition coil-over shock absorbs with remote reservoirs. The aerodynamic package features a carbon fiber “fanged” splitter in front and adjustable carbon-fiber wing with seven-position stanchions that allow up to an amazing 1,000 lbs. of downforce at 150 mph. Lightweight wheels, two-piece slotted StopTech brake rotors and Michelin PS Cup tires round out the Dodge Viper ACR package.
