This is a 1972 Dodge Challenger that came out originally with a 340 and automatic transmission. It is just a rolling body at this time. I have extensive pictures loaded in the photo bucket link, I strongly suggest you view those in detail. This should answer all of your questions about the car. I do have a clear, open Tennessee title in my name for this car. The door tag, dash plate and under hood data tag all are a match to the title. If you know anything about these E-body Mopar's you know how rare it is to find one unrestored these days, especially a true 340 car. This car does NOT have an engine, transmission or 3rd member. WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON, NO MORE, NO LESS!I am the owner of a restoration shop and have hand hundreds upon hundreds of vintage muscle cars. I've had a ton of Muscle Mopar's and quite a few E-body cars. That being said, I DO know what I"m looking at, where to look and what to look for. I'm very familiar with where these E-bodies rust (around roof, front and rear glass, trunk lip corners, rear spring hangers, rear frame rails above the shocks, etc, etc, etc). This is a very good car in comparison to many I've seen and owned. As you can see from the pictures the frame rails aren't rotted away, even back to the leaf spring hangers. There is one damaged spot in the passenger rail (I highlighted with red arrows in the pictures), on the front part of the wheel hump. It looks like they drug it backwards into something and dented it in?? It's rusty in that spot. The rest of the rust on the rear rails is surface rust. Not sure how it got there but I tried to show it in the pictures. I was saving this car to do a restomod with it. I had planned to buy a newer wrecked Challenger and pull the Hemi out for this. I've decided that I have too many projects and I'm going to let a couple go so I can focus on others. This car has good bones and lots of good metal on it. It will obviously need floors, roof skin repaired in a few spots. The hood is junk (other than the letters and scoops), the deck lid is junk, both doors are great, even the underside, both fenders are easily fixed, and I would even save both quarters on this car. The cross bar behind the bumper is rusted away. There's no evidence of a hit in the front, K-members looks great as well as the rails. The doors open and close and the windows roll up and down. It appears to have the correct rear end in the car with no 3rd member or drums on it. The front disc brakes are still on the car as well as the correct steering column.Let's be VERY clear, this car is a TOTAL restoration or restomod project car. This car is probably NOT for a beginner. I've restored/refurbished cars in FAR worse condition than this one. I'm probably a fool for letting this one go since they are so difficult to find. This will be a NO RESERVE auction! I will start bids at a very reasonable price and whoever has the highest bid will own it. I'm not interested in trades or people contacting me making offers less than the starting bid! Please don't waste either of our time with such nonsense. Due to an upcoming trip I would like to nail down a date that the car will be picked up. As you can imagine, the car hauler will need a way to pull the car up onto the transport.Since I have so many worthless bidders, I require a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit on this car within 24 hours of auctions end. That goes for EVERYBODY!! I don't care if you are coming to pick it up in 3 days, if you don't put a deposit down I won't believe you. I expect the balance in US Dollars within seven days or when the car is picked up, whichever comes first. If having it picked up by someone other than you we can arrange for other payment methods. Now for the obvious formalities:This car does not run. This car will need to be towed/hauled from it's current location at the expense of the purchaser. This car comes will all the parts, and only the parts you see in the pictures linked to this auction. This car will not leave my possession until the total sale price has been paid.I have ZERO tolerance for non paying bidders. I will leave swift and harsh feedback for such people! I treat others like I want to be treated and try to be as open and honest as possible about everything. If you have a reasonable question about the car that this description or my pictures don't cover, feel free to ask. I don't want the buyer to show up and be surprised because I forgot to show to say something important about the car.I'm planning to clear out a few more cars and a TON of parts over the next few months. The parts will vary (Shelby, Cobra Jet, Mopar, Pontiac, Hemi, Corvair, etc) so you should probably mark me as a favorite seller and keep and eye on my listings. I don't take requests, I list things as I have time and in no certain order.
I always try to save my customers money on shipping when I can. I find the smallest box I can pack an item in safely and use the ebay shipping calculator to do the rest. I can't control the cost of shipping, but I can do as much as possible on my end to cut the costs for my buyers. My goal is to make my customers happy. My feedback is evidence of this. You be fair with me and I will be fair with you, it's a simple, adult way to do business!Don't miss your chance to own one of the few E-body Mopars left. Bid with confidence and bid to WIN!
