1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Description

For sale by original owner 1996 Dodge 2500 Laramie SLT extended cab, long bed ¾ ton pickup with clear Texas title. 199,500 original miles, 5.9L Cummins Turbodiesel engine, 5-speed manual gearbox, limited slip differential.
Gray cloth interior is still in excellent condition with no tears or holes. Gauges all work as do the radio and cassette player. Even still has the jack and tool kit under the rear seat!
Outfitted with fiberglas running board/fender flare unit that was all the rage when new, has ABS plastic bed liner and chrome bed side caps.
This truck was set up to work with a gooseneck ball that hides away for hauling. This is a real long bed as 4 x 8 foot plywood or sheetrock sheets fit flat between the wheel wells and bed front with a closed tailgate! Underneath are adjustable rear shocks and a receiver hitch. It even still has a spare tire!
Has new ball joints and outer tie rod ends, new brake pads on the front and fresh batteries.
The bad news: Truck needs some brake work, a pressure bleed of the system would do wonders. The cruise control doesn’t work, may just be a fuse. Cosmetically the truck has some recent hail damage that dinged up the three year old repaint and put a starburst in the center of the windshield. Paint is chipping in a few places that didn’t get sanded well. There is a dent in the front bumper where it got backed into and I had to put in screws to hold the plastic trim on. Some of the plastic grill clips got broken when the painter tried to remove it and it fits a little loosely.
