2006 Dodge Charger RT Description

This vehicle is an Asset Seized vehicle being sold through the Roseville Police Department on behalf of the State of California. The vehicle belonged to a large scale heroindrug trafficker before it was collected by the police department. I am a police officer, not a car salesman so I will make the best attempt to describe the vehicle. I make no commission on the sale of the vehicle and my only responsibility is to try to sell the vehicle for as much as the market demands. The government gets all the money from this sale.

RPD has had this vehicle sinceMarch of2015. It has been stored, outdoors, in the Roseville Storage yard. It has periodically been run while in police custody. This car looks way better in the photos then it actually shows in person. There are scratches and dings around the exterior but no major dents. The plastic on the front end is broken and being held up by tape (see photo). The trunk has a large speaker box in it with "custom" wiring. The battery is in the trunk and I had the city mechanic unattach the wiring from the speaker box to the battery because it was not insulated and could have caused a fire. The seats, mainly the driver seat, are in very rough shape. The power functionality of the seat still works but the leather is tore up (refer to picture). I have no idea what the previous owner was thinking about when it came to the wiring, but he made his own custom decisions. There are wires hanging down underneath the dashboard (see photo). The e-brake works, butthe cableis unattached to the lever that actually releases it in the passenger compartment. The hood release latch is completely missing, although if you pull the wire it will unhatch the hood. The plastic thing covering the stereo pops on and off. The gear shift knob is broken. You lift up on it and it comes off. There is a white wire coming from the behind the dashboard that looks like it plugs in to a phone jack or something similar. Also, I needed to jump it to get it started. From a positive standpoint, the car has a ton of power and sounds like a race car. There have been no fluids leaking since we have had it and the tires have held their air.

Apparently, this vehicle has been salvaged in 2011. Please don't ask me anything about that because I will not know the answer. If you live near Roseville and want to see the vehicle, I will be more than happy to let you come check it out.

The purchaser of this vehicle will have to deal with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). In order for you to drive this vehicle off of the police storage lot, you will need to be present to meet me at the PD and go to the DMV to register it in your name. I will accompany you to our DMV to help facilitate this. If you live out of state, you will be required to get a 1 day transport from DMV, unless you are trucking it out. If that is the case, you will need to register the vehicle in your state before I let you have. Please don't ask me how that works in your state because every state handles these differently and I only know California law. If you are registering this vehicle in California, you will probably be required to pay sales tax so be prepared for that. Additionally, they might make you pay to register the vehicle (including late fees). To be honest, they usually waive that fee but they might not so that cost will be on you. I do not know if they will make you smog it but if they do, they typically give you 30 days to complete it. I have no idea if it will pass smog, but it was previously registered in California which means it did pass at some point.
