2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Description

This is a great-running, smooth-shifting, single-owner vehicle that still has a good many miles left in her because she was well maintained. This is a smoke-free, pet-free vehicle. The tires are less than a year old, and the oil and filters were changed in early April. She comes equipped with a full-size spare. She does have high miles, but a lot of that is from road trips, where she gets roughly 24 mpg. The average mpg shown in the photo (about 20) reflects her mileage in town.
The minivan is mechanically sound and very reliable. She's also one of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever driven. She has the convenience of two side sliding doors and a hydraulic back hatch that opens and closes remotely with ease. All the seats in the second and third row quickly fold down into the floor for cargo space ("Stow and Go"). The interior is clean and free of tears and stains in the fabric. The driver's floor mat has some wear, but otherwise, as the photos show, overall the minivan is very clean. The stereo system works great and includes AM/FM stereo as well as both a single CD player and a cassette player. With a cassette adapter, you can play music from your phone or iPod over the sound system. There is also a center console between the two front seats which provides great lockable storage, and there's a lockable compartment under the front passenger seat as well. Hooks built into the backs of the seats hold the handles of your shopping bags to keep your purchases from shifting during transit. If you have a smaller cellphone (such as a flip phone), you can also make use of the built-in phone holster. My newest phone, an Android with a 4.5" screen, barely squeezes into it, but it does work. Who knows, maybe you can find a replacement holster that's designed to accommodate the latest phones.
As for flaws, it does have its share. The side doors no longer open remotely, but this can be fixed by replacing the motors. One of the door locks has to be operated manually as well. The rear a/c was capped off to stop a leak, but the front a/c blows ice cold and the rear fan provides good circulation. For the record, the rear heat works just fine. One armrest was broken (see photo) when someone heavy fell getting into the van. The exterior has some minor dents and two tiny rust spots have appeared in dents on the hood. I forgot to take a picture of them, but I'll add one soon. I should also mention that the minivan is equipped with an aftermarket DVD player, but it doesn't work and has been disconnected from the power because it was causing electrical issues.
If you have any questions, please ask. We are willing to let this go way under Kelley Blue Book only because I need a truck for my business. I love this minivan, but unfortunately it doesn't suit my needs anymore. Thank you for bidding.
