2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Base Extended Cab Pickup 4-Door Description

You are looking at a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo-diesel 4-door extended cab. This is the high output model from 2002. It has a six-speed manual transmission.
Mechanically, this truck is completely sound, with two exceptions. It runs like a top, and will actually accelerate up steep inclines. It can pull a fully loaded 22-foot cattle trailer without you really noticing that it's there. It recently had the ECM (Engine Control Module) replaced, as well as the idler pulley. The first exception is the emergency brake (a standard top-hat drum-disc arrangement,) which needs new brake-shoes. The second is that the A/C needs to be recharged.
The truck does have a couple of cosmetic issues. There are some minor dents on both rear fenders. The front cover on the instrument panel has some cracking from sun damage. The Driver side seat has a hole in the fabric. The driver-side a pillar molding is missing. And finally, one of the passenger-side rear reflectors has some cracks (NOT the tail-light, just the reflector panel.)
That being said, this truck does have some pretty nice add-ons. It has tow hitches for both pull-along and fifth wheel (the fifth wheel hitch is also a hide-away, controlled by a lever in the left-rear wheel well. It is wired for a trailer on both the rear and inside the bed. It has a trailer brake actuator in the cab. It also has a job box installed in the bed. Finally, it has an auxiliary audio input in the cab.
This truck has received regular oil-changes over it's lifetime, and by Cummins standards, the engine is barely broken in. This truck easily has another 200,000 miles of life in it. The only reason I want to sell it, is because I don't use it for towing much anymore, and would prefer to upgrade to something with more creature comforts for my daily driver (which does mean the mileage will go up a tiny bit between now and when it sells.)
It's a solid truck that has served me well while I've owned it, and I'd like to see it go to someone who can make better use of its capabilities.
