2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Description

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L V6 with 71,290 miles in excellent condition. This van was converted by BraunAbility into a model called BraunEntervan to accommodate wheelchair bound individuals. As the power side door is activated a power ramp extends and sets down on the ground as the vehicle “kneels”, that is drops about 5” on the passenger side to make it easier for the wheelchair to climb the ramp. The floor of the van has been dropped about 10” to allow proper head room for the handicapped person. Anchor channels have been installed in the floor of the van so that security tie-downs can be fastened in multiple positions. Shoulder and lap safety belts are provided on both sides of the van and can be adjusted to fit whatever position the wheelchair passenger may be in. Both the drivers seat the the front passenger seat are removable so that the wheelchair may be placed in the front passenger position or, if the handicapped is able to, in the drivers position. A full third row seat provides seating capacity of five besides the one or two wheelchair bound passengers. The van is in excellent condition with no rust, no torn or damaged carpet of seats, no engine fluid leaks and good tires. The only “damage” is a few minor dents on the power tailgate which probably came from a previous owner opening the tailgate under a garage door or some other overhead obstruction. Equipment includes power steering, power windows, passenger side door, ramp and tailgate, AM / FM radio with CD player, AC, three six button transmitters, rear window wiper and defrost, front airbags, power outlets, power adjust rear view mirrors. All in all, a great vehicle at a very reasonable price that served us very well for the seven months we needed it while my wife was confined to a wheelchair. We paid $21000 for the van in December of 2015 and put 3400 miles on the van and are asking $14,800. Please ask any questions before bidding. Vehicle sold as is with no warranty. Vehicle is located in the northwest suburban area of Chicago and arrangements can be made to inspect the van before purchasing. Payment required within 7 days via cashiers check. Thanks for looking!
