2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8 - Salvage Title - No Reserve
2008 Dodge Magnum Description
This car was basically brand new with 11,000 miles and my 17 year old put it in a ditch and hit a few trees. I bought it because it was a rare car and alot of fun. It is now sitting in my garage wrecked but it starts fine and moves. Most of the damage is body parts, wheels and steering rack.
I had a reputable repair shop here in Austin, Ellis and Salazar look at it. They came back at $15000 to repair. The car was valued at over $30,000 and increasing so I was going to repair it. After talking in detail with them and my desire to make it perfect again...they hesitated and eventually said they did not feel comfortable repairing it as a collector car. I then went to Berlis who mainly does high end cars. They nitpicked every little scratch, dent, were going to replace everything by the Dodge book and came back at $29000 so it was totaled.
The damage is to the front and the drivers side almost exclusively. No damage to the passenger side other than some wheel scratches..and not big ones. Car starts right up, does not leak fluid and still sounds awesome with Magnaflow Catback exhaust.
As you can see in the engine pic, the compartment was not even bent. there is no frame damage or bend at all. Interior is basically brand new as is the Hemi engine with only 11200 miles on it. They only made 240 of these in 2008 with the new body style and only 50 in red. This has every option and was 1 of 3 made in 2008 in red with rear DVD and roof rack so it is still a rare car.
Bottom line is that I dont have time to mess with it and I have moved on from the collecting of cars and need to get them out of my storage so I can use the building to make money. I will be putting more pictures up as I get them taken.
This is a great project car for someone that knows what they are doing. That is not me. I have been told that this car can be on the road looking almost new for under $8000, even less if you can paint also. I can't.
Look up the 6.1 liter Hemi and transmission alone are $8k and this one has only 11,000 miles on it. Well worth way more than 11k in parts alone
If you want any additional specifics, feel free to contact me. I am listing this locally and promoting it to car groups here in town so I reserve the right to remove it at any time. If you get it, you will be required to set up and pay for shipping. It will move enough to get on a trailer.
