This is a really dependable, great running Dodge Ram van. I purchased it from a local school district that purchased it brand new in 1996. I have only put less than 100 miles on it since I bought it, so it basically could be considered a one owner vehicle. I thought I would use it as a work van, but my plans have changed, and I realize now that I just won’t be using it enough to justify keeping it. It is a really great running, very solid and stout van. It starts and runs great and the 5.9 liter engine seems strong and smooth. The transmission is newer and has only around 35,000 miles on it. I was told that the stout, well-built, ladder racks alone cost many hundreds of dollars to have them custom made for it. The van was set up as sort of an all-purpose maintenance van and comes stocked with many tools, electric motors, electrical and plumbing supplies, what I think is a large tank of refrigerant, submersible pump parts, small welder, etc. I have not tested this stuff so I don’t know what works or doesn’t, but I don’t need it, so it all goes with the van. I don’t even know what some of the supplies are for, but I know that the total cost of all of the stuff in the van would be thousands of dollars if you had to buy it new, but as I said earlier, my life is going in a different direction, so I am letting it all go with the van.

It does have a few dents on the hood and one on the rear left door, and some of the paint is peeling off, but other than this, the body is in great shape with no other dents or rust issues that I can find. The metal is in great shape, as is the power seat, dash, etc.. I tried the AC when it was hot out, and it worked great! It comes with a thick folder of complete maintenance records that document anything and everything that was done to it while the school system owned it. Here is a list of just a few things that they repaired or replaced:

Tow hitch installed

Rear end completely rebuilt (cost $1,200, about 58k miles ago)

New radiator (36k miles ago)

New fuel pump, fuel tank module, timing chain (59k miles ago)

New transmission (35k miles ago)

Plus, many other new smaller items to keep the van in top running condition.

If you are an electrician, plumber, carpenter, contractor, or just need a heavy duty work van to keep your supplies out of the weather, and maybe pull a trailer once in a while, this would be a great van for you! It even already comes equipped with lots of supplies and tools. Keep what you want and sell the rest! Thanks for viewing this auction!
