2001 Dodge Ram 3500--Mechanic Special
2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie SLT Description
This truck is in decent shape, given the mileage and age, but does not start. A few months ago, I tried a few things but still couldn't get it to start. Spent about $600 and a day of mechanic work--changed two fuel pumps, both batteries (batts are a few months old), but it didn't start. So now I am selling it as is.
Tires were bought from Costco a couple of years ago and have a lifetime warranty--and about 80% of the tread remains (tires alone cost over $1000). Windshield has no cracks, mirrors (and extensions) are perfect, and most of the body is good. I have taken pics of the obvious body defects.
Truck has a specially-fabricated, heavy-duty gooseneck hitch (I think 30,000 lbs--see pic) with which I have occasionally pulled a trailer with backhoe totaling over 30,000 lbs., without difficulty.
When I bought the truck in 2007, it was on a salvage title. The dealer said it had been in an accident, but I couldn't see what had been hit and the dealer did not have further details. The truck drove fine from 2007 until 2015, when I could not start it, and I bought another truck. Then a few months ago, I tried to get it started (as explained in the first paragraph above) so I could sell it, but I wasn't successful.
If you know how to work on these trucks, you could put together a decent truck for not very much money!
I have heavy equipment at the truck location and can load it on a trailer for you, if you need me to, at no extra charge.
