1964 Dodge Polara - 4 Door - All Original Barn Find


1964 Dodge Polara 4-door. 318 with push button auto transmission.
This car isvery complete and original, including the paint. It has beengarage stored since 94. The previous owner daily drove the car and took it off the road to do a carb. rebuild. Apparently the job was never completed and still sits, as it was purchased.
The engine turns by hand andhas also been testedwith a battery installed. It turns smooth with no noticeable issues. It will need the carb. rebuilt and plug wires definitely.There are new belts in the trunk and a new fuel filter installed but, would be best to do a full tune up and fluid hoseschangefrom sitting. No noticeable issues with transmission other than dirty, dash switch works as it should.
The body of the car is solid and straight. The only accident it appears to havehad, is on the lower portion of the passengerdoors.The rear has a bent edge and the front needs a minor patch. Skin damage only,all 4 doors work as they should with no issues or sagging. The trunk has medium to heavy rustand a few small holes but overall still pretty solid. The chrome, trim, moldings and emblems are still in very good condition all the way around.Rear window is plexiglass. I actually thought it was glass until I touched it. Other than a few sun cracks, it's pretty clear. There are a few minor holes here and there on lower fenders and lower quarters, nothing bigger than a dime at the most. The only other rust issue is the outer front corners of the front floor pans. The driver side has a hole you can stick a fist through.The passenger side is not as bad. From under car it appears these are patch issues and nothing requiring a full pan. The rest of the interior is as complete and original as the outside, down to the carpet. The seat coversneed to be replaced but, seats are solid and comfortable. Tires are bad, all will hold air to load but, one looses air after a few hours.
This is a nice, very originalvintage carwith a lot of potential to be a cool cruiser.
