1934 Dodge Other Pickups Hot Rod Description

I am Tom Klein. I am now 70 years of age. I’ve been into all kinds of performance cars and motorcycles since the 1960’s (boats and airplanes too). I built my first Hot Rod during 1963 and ’64 while in high school, a 392 Hemi powered 1933 Plymouth 5 Window Coupe.Muscle cars and Corvettes soon followed and later BMW’S & Porsche’s. I’ve built, driven, raced and restored pretty much all of the above and more. This offering is my

PUREHOT ROD & DOLLAR FOR DOLLARMORE FUN THAN ANY THREE MEGA-BUCK$ FIBERGLASS PLUSH-RODS ON THE ROAD!

A several year evolutionary build done the way we built them back in the ‘50’s & 60’s. This is a real HOT ROD for a Real Hot Rodder!

The engine is a fine runninginternallystock early 1980's 350 four bolt main small block Chevy painted and dressed to 1960’s appearance withan early Edelbrock “Patent Pending”aluminum high performanceintake manifold & the original Quadra-jet carb.HEI High Performance Electronic Distributor. Ceramic Coated Headers & Aluminized Cherry Bomb Side Pipes. The transmission is GM’s excellent 4 speed overdrive700R4 . A Lokar shifter selects the gears.A Ford Mustang radiator keeps it running cool at 180-190 degrees. This Hot Rod runs great on 87 Octane but I generally use 93.

The front axles is a real dealoriginal unbent 1930's Henry Ford manufacturedaxleand trailing arms with original stampings. Front suspension is stock Ford leaf spring with Monroe air shocks (good for adjusting ride height), plus GM power Rack and Pinion Steering and GM front disc brakes! This Hot Rod is legally North Carolina titled as a Dodge Street Rod, which was properly done through my regional DMV Inspector. It runs, drives, stops, turns (turn signals)and handles great on the twisted Blue Ridge Mountain roads here in western North Carolina and liesurely cruises down the Interstate at 70 mph. For almost 10 yearsit hasbeen my project and my pleasure tomake it what it is, totally a one of a kind. She squeaks and rattles a bitlike a real rod should but it has been utterly reliable and never fails to be a blast to drive. Also draws a crowd anytime she’s parked for more than 2 minutes.

No cookie cutter fiberglass or steel replica aftermarket recreation here, this Real 1930's Steel HotRod epitomizes the wayreal Roddersscroungedsalvage yardsfor parts and bare knuckle built and drove 'emway back whenI was young and a bit more crazy.I may not be so young anymore butI am stillyoung at heart, andcruisin'this Rodaround makes me feel like a kid again.I have owned many Corvettes (still do), Porsche 911’s, and Muscle Cars and love them all, but honestly, I have gotten more raw pleasure out of this Hot Rod than any other. It takes me right back to the 1933 Plymouth Coupe a buddy and I built, drove and drag raced whilein high school.

This is a one-of-a-kind that couldn't be duplicated if you tried. ThisDodge-Studebaker-Ford-Chevy Classic Hot Rod can be yours for a third the price ofa same old, same oldcookie cutter, and believe me, it's twice the fun!Anyone who has built one like this knows what it takes and what it costs to just find and procure all the original classic parts. Then you have to build! This Rod was lovingly built from scratch from the ground up, including the frame. Countless man hours and a lot of busted knuckles, not to mention $$$ went into her. It wasn’t show car time, money and parts but she can be driven without worry of getting scratched or dirty. Been there and done that show car thing. Hot Rodding should be fun, not stressful!

I have put what I consider to be a very reasonable andnon-negotiable price on her. She’s worth all of it and more and she won’t go anywhere until she’s worth that much to someone else. As mentioned above Ihave owned and enjoyed this Hot Rod for almost 10 years. The only reason Ihave for offering it for sale is because I must be crazy. However, I did just buy a new 2017 Corvette and have run out of garage space, so that might have something to do with it.
