1971 Dodge Other Pickups custom Description

Im selling my awesome 71 dodge d100 shop truck, rat rod. Its a super rare truck as you dont see these dodge sweptline around. It sporting a sweet patina look on it. The trucks original color was blue when it first came out. Then a few years later the truck was bought by the air force and used at the Travis Air Force base and painted a pistachio color. Its been that color since 1976. The paint is old and looks awesome. I turned it in to a shop truck for a local vineyard I work for. So it has the shop truck painted logo on the doors which look super cool. It has minimal rust on the body and that is the look I wanted anyway, Most of the rust in the drivers bottom door and front drivers fender. The body is very straight on it. All parts line up. The tailgate has a few dents but looks really cool.
Its a Rat Rod Patina Shop Truck!!!! Thats what your buying.
Motor is a 5.9l 360 with only 30k on it. It was pulled out of a 1974 Dodge motor home. So it has a nice RV cam and bigger valves. It runs great!! Starts on dime. Never leaves me stranded. It has an upgraded intake manifold and Edelbrock 650 carb on it. It runs its stock manifolds through a 2.5 inch dual exhaust inside the rear bed. Brand new Battery with 5 year warranty.Transmission is a 727 torqueflight. Standard Dodge transmission. It was rebuilt some years ago. Stock rear end with 3;56 gears.Electrical is decent. All lights work on the truck including the dome light and gauges. The gauges can be a pain sometimes. Sometimes all the gauges work and sometimes one faulter. It never bothered me as its a cruiser! Easy fix
Suspension is modified a bit. Its lowered 4 inches in the back and a total of 5.5 inches up front. Air shocks in the rear and monroe shocks up front. It rides like a truck!!Wheels are 18x8 and 20x10 Streeter show wheels. Brand new with a red plasti dip color on them. If you dont like the red then just peel them off and they are fully polished. It has nankang sport tires all the way around with fatty's in rear. I love the rake and stance of this truck.
Overall is a super rare and sweet truck with a lot personality. It turns heads everywhere I go. Lots of time and decent money spent in to it. Its also been in a couple music video's.
I think a little more money like disc brake conversion and a few more things. It could be a very fun truck.

I just want to say a couple things about the truck. I want everyone want to know this is a rat rod truck!!! Its not a perfect show truck of any kind. Its a fun cruiser that you can parade around in. The bed of the truck is metal and its been used. It has dents and its original. Not perfect in anyway. Once again its a rat rod!!

Also the truck has still the original straight axle suspension. The way its been lowered was taking leaf springs out of the front pack and an axle flip for the rear. It has stock drums brakes all around and it stops fine but like I mention. I would convert it to disc brakes in the front. It would ride much better. Its not a must do but with these d100 trucks. The brakes are always touchy.
