As many of us come to realize, it finally comes time to let go of our dream car for one reason or another. Was a hard decision to make but it comes down to lack of time, resources and interest in maintaining and driving a super car. It needs to be with someone who will appreciate what it is and give it the life and attention it deserves.
The Story:
The TT was a daily driver with very low annual accumulation of miles and sat mostly in a parking garage. One day, the modification journey began, it took approximately 8 years for it all to come together. During these years, the car was in storage. All equipment listed have approximately 693.3 miles of road time. This is still indicated on the tripometer. Engine was purchased new from Mitsu as other work was being done on the car. I sold the previous engine simply because it was already out someone needed it and I was likely to be working on the car a few more years and figured it was a good deal considering the direction I wanted to go with the build.
As of 1/24/2017 - Car was professionally checked and serviced to prep for sale.All fluids have been replaced, brand new Injector Dynamics 725CC Injectors and wiring harness installed. (6 x Blitz 720cc injectors included with sale of car incase you can clean and revive them), new NGK Iridium BKR7EIX spark plugs gapped at 0.25 (with 2 new surplus replacements included, new MSD Plug wire set installed and Engine Compression Test confirmed as C1-151 C2-154 C3-151 C4-138 C5-148 C6-152. (High - Low Range = 158-115psi for Turbo Cars)
Despite the intention of selling the car to its new owner as a reliable and solid “ get in, turn key drive away 451HP tuned with a lot more to offer, like new super car “, a set of circumstances unravelled while it was being serviced. While not all around terrible it still requires some hours and minor investment to remediate. However, they are relatively quick and straight forward fixes.
Unfortunately, during the transmission fluid exchange, part of the casting of the fill hole embossment cracked on the mid section housing. Obviously to avoid damaging the newly rebuilt trans, this unexpected situation prevented the car from getting scheduled on the dyno to update the AEM tune for the new injectors. So with this, I am selling the car as is.
Options:
Simply drop the trans and swap it with a good one - this would avoid going through a “rebuild” scenario to swap the housing. Or, As of 1/24/17, I can find mid section replacements on 3si.org forums for 125$ shipped, and/or entire transmission donors for the housing for $500 or less. I am told there are some very good transmissions available in Detroit area that maybe available for a direct swap out. Note: the trans in the car currently has the 300M Hardened output shaft. Once this occurs - the car can be tuned for the updated 725cc injectors. I was quoted 675$ for the AEM Fuel map tune on dyno. Once these two services take place (trans housing swap or replace and fuel map tune), the car is reliable and ready for turn key performance.
The car starts up quick and strong, sounds wicked and idles beautifully. It can be driven slowly to move it around, but it is irresponsible for the health of the transmission to do anything else until the case has been replaced. The transmission fluid was replaced and is full. With that said, it has not been driven since the discovery of the cracked housing. As noted below in the list of modifications, the transmission was cleaned, serviced and rebuilt by TRE during the project and a 300M hardened output shaft installed. The Transmission internals are essentially new and loaded by TRE. On the original Tune we stopped at 14 psi at 451HP on the dyno (See Dyno Sheet Pic). There obviously is a ton of room to push the car further. It no doubt is built for it.

-Car retains original radio. Both radio and steering wheel buttons work excellent. Speakers still in excellent condition. Car is wired for subwoofer placement in trunk (wires laid and fuse upfront near battery)
-Electric Windows work great
-Heat is excellent, the A/C does work but needs to be recharged and perhaps for peace of mind checked for leaks. The A/C on the car was not typically used much in general.
-New Aftermarket Cobra Car Alarm is installed and remote startup functionality was verified. I decided to disconnect the alarm system from the battery to simplify servicing and error checking car codes. (sometimes Aftermarket alarm systems play games with the electrical systems which is what I wanted to avoid . You can connect it and use it as intended as it works just fine. Key Fob and second Fob included with all original manuals.
- Two car keys included. One Original Dodge Stealth Key and one replacement key copy.
-Had the car cleaned and repainted dark green, paint job is in excellent condition with exception of minor scratches that come with normal wear and tear.
-Front end was fitted with 99 Fascia and headlights - however due to cold weather in storage and the intercooler fitting, the left side has popped out about 2 inches. This is a quick fix - finished fit is very nice and tight with the headlights. See pics.
-Alternator checks out good - see video test
-Calibration map file for the AEM is loaded on the ECU, however an update is needed to accommodate the Injector Dynamics 725CC injectors. the .cal map file can be provided by email as a backup or baseline for future tuning. Tuning was professionally done by Horsepower Freaks / Torque Freaks. Have dyno sheet indicating 14psi at approximately 451 HP. I did not have the time or resources to push the numbers higher, but the car’s build should easily allow you into the 20+psi range or more. (451hp x 27% drive loss = 121.77 + 451 = 572.77 HP crank.
