1996 Dodge Dakota SLT Extended Cab Pickup 2-Door Description

This is a very nice rust free V6 1996 Dodge Dakota. I've had many of these '92 to '96 Dakotas and this the cleanest one I've ever seen. I guarantee no rust anywhere. Underneath the truck, it looks like the truck might be a couple years old and I even checked underneath the carpet in all areas - everything is clean as a whistle. I bought this truck from the 2nd owner from Northern Kentucky and the first owner was a M.D. doctor (same city) who had it until about 2015. He just used it for yard and garden work from Spring to Fall and trips around his county and then parked it during the winter in the garage. That accounts for the low mileage as well. This truck drives and rides like new. It needs nothing and I'm sure it could drive across country if need be. The AC blows ice cold and the heater works excellent. There are no rattles or wind noises and it drives straight as an arrow down the road. It has newer brakes all the way around. All new gas-matic shocks on all 4 corners. A new timing chain and new water pump. It has new spark plugs, spark plug wires, new cap and rotor, new air filter, new performance Dynomax Ultra-flow muffler($80.00). All of the exhaust pipe looks great. New chrome exhaust tip. Brand new Tonneau cover. New stainless tailgate top cover. Brand new stereo system with 4 new Pioneer speakers. Again, everything works on the truck. All of the lights, horn, wipers -washer, etc. The tire and their tread is like new although they must have some age on the because there are some tiny dry cracks on them. The engine does runs awesome and has great power for a V6. It gets 25 MPG usually, unless you're in the city. It does not burn or use or leak any oil whats so ever. It is a very sound engine. The transmission shifts crisp and firm. By the way, I had the transmission flushed out, the bands adjusted and had a new trans. filter installed. Some of the faults of the truck are(minor); There is some dings here and there and some scratches from normal use as a pickup truck. Nothing too major in my opinion. No collision damage by any means. Again, I would just call the dings and scratches a result from normal use as a truck. The interior is very excellent as you can see in the photos. There are no rips or cigarette burns in the upholstery. The carpet is very nice and there are no cracks on the dash pad. The only two flaws are a couple tears in the headliner. It is not hanging down at all. It is all flat with the headliner board. Just a few tears. There is a couple splits on vertical side of where you sit on the driver's side seat. It is on the left side of where you sit. It's not horrible by any means. Again, this is the original paint on the truck so it is 21 years old. It is very respectable to look at. I don't think the photos lie. I get a lot of compliments on this truck. They just can't believe how clean it is for it's age! Again, this Dakota is very fun and nice to drive. I just can't relay enough how good this truck drives. It's like driving a truck a few years old! Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks.
