2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT SPORT Description

My wife calls her "the other woman". I purchased this 2005 Ram 1500 from original owner in 2008. If she doesn't sell by 2/28, then it won't be sold. To give the most detail in the shortest time, here we go:Never drag raced - Never wrecked - Never driven thru high water or off road - Never driven in the snow - Always garaged in N Texas - Never hailed onBody, frame and interior are stock.
ENGINE: now has about 65k miles, 5.7L HEMI, removed and rebuilt in 2010 by ASE certified mechanic and veteran engine builder. BLOCK: engine honed, balanced and blueprinted. DETAILS: non-mds, 6.1 SRT cam w/ all performance springs, retainers, push rods, heads milled .030, timing advanced 6^, shorty-spark wires, Mopar polished cold air feeds 84mm Fastman throttle body, exhales into Pacesetter Armor Coat 'mid-tube', down oem y-pips, catless to race dumps (for fun at shows) then onto HD50 SI/DO muffler exiting mandrel bent dual rear exit w/turn downs under bumper. PCM: SuperChips tuner (included), 91+ octane, custom shift schedule. Engine specs at 440hp at the crank. It is NOT a race truck nor ever used as one. GEAR: 2015 added 4.10 posi to move the factory 20in rims, stopped by slotted rotors and carbon pads.APPEARANCE: lowered 2/3, de-badged, tinted wndws, hood scallops, custom upper/lower grille inserts in black mesh w/ hand-machined 345HEMI badge. Crystal Black headlight housings and smoked tails, HEMI Orange brake calipers and engine valve covers.
It's not a 100% "show" vehicle, but once a quarter I spend 10 hours polishing engine, wheel wells, body, etc for a good local show-n-go. That's been the ritual for the past 5+ years.
In the last year, replaced the following: air filter, all fluids, tires, wndw tint, u-joints, upper control arms, all bushings, spark plugs, head and tail light housings and bulbs, fuel pump/filter, cam sensor, egr, alternator, armrest leather top, pwr wndw door plates, HEMI floor matts, sanded and painted radiator supports, all visible frame behind grille, wiper cowl, door handles, fuse box top, paintless dent repair (parking lots suck!), air bag recall complete, rear-end pinion nut recall (completed for new gears).
So why am I selling this obsession? Simply put, it's either all-in or all-out. Just recently had my Chrysler mechanic spend a week with her to tell me every little thing that was wrong (fixed u-joints and wiper relay, that's it) before I finally go all-in to make it my dream truck (lower stance, 600hp, full stainless exhaust, show paint, ya know, everything you save up for!). Now that I have all the money on hand to do it...I'm torn between a new project or this one. If it sells by 2/28, I start over. If not, I finally get to finish.
The drive train in this truck was done right and is good as is for another 65,000mi or better OR it was built to be bullet proof and handle the HP goal I intended one day. I can't say I've ever seen a truck this age, this mileage, in this good of shape, visibly or mechanically.
NEEDS: driver seat bottomcushion and power seat motor relay and rear leaf springs.Problems? Absolutely everything engine/mechanical works. Including brand new DJM lowering control arms (better ride than just lowering springs)
Any questions at all to help you decide, just let me know. Good Luck to us both.
