Could this be the Best Sports Car in the World? Ten good reasons why it might be.
1. It’s a mid-engine car which usually makes for the best handling.
2. It’s a Coupe which means its lighter, stiffer and prettier than a rag top. It also means it’s safer and you can take it for a dance on a track near you.
3. It has a normally aspirated V8 which is particularly important for a marque that is all about its engines:- you can accessibly use (and listen to) almost all of it and you're not left wanting for more.
4. It has three pedals, which means YOU get to drive it in every way. Only 6% of F430 Coupes have these.
5. It’s in Blu Pozzi, the classiest color that ever left Maranello. (My Parisian mother-in-law AGREES!) Only nine F430 Coupe 6-speeds in Pozzi were imported to the US.
6. Of those, only this one has Nero interior: tasteful, practical, discrete and, as it turns out, with Pozzi, was a unique order.
7. It has shields, yellow calipers, yellow tach and yellow stitching: synchronized touches, just in case the car wasn’t unique already.
8. It has 26,000 miles. During my custodianship, I am responsible for enjoying 17,000 of those, applying them with respect and great care, mostly on open roads on early Sunday mornings. This car has never let me down.
9. I have reluctantly decided to sell (and drive something less valauble) because continuing to add 6,000 miles a year would not allow the car to appreciate as much as it might otherwise.
10. The Reserve Price is the base MSRP and the Buy It Now Price is the TSRP on the original sticker from ten years ago. If the Best Sports Car in the World isbeautiful, pure to drive and unique, it could sell for more than its Original Price a decade later and, after its second decade, possibly much, much, much more.
The Options listed on the (included) Window Sticker are Brake Calipers Yellow Colour, Daytona Style Seats, Electrically Operated Seats, 'Scuderia Ferrari' Shields, front & Rear parking Sensors, Upholstered Top, Leather upholstered Rear bench, High Power Hifi with Superwoofer, All Stitching in Colour. N.B. The car has had no issues with headers cracking but has just developed a different common problem: a rear light cluster has become a little wobbly. Also, car is on an open-ended lease from Putnam Leasing. So buyer will pay Putnam and Putnam will remit amount above my payoff to me.
