2001 FERRARI 550 MARANELLO
Up for sale is my Ferrari 550 Maranello.
I moved to Europe and I could not take it with me, otherwise I would have never parted ways with it!
The car is dark blue (Blu Pozzi) with beige and blue interior and has some very desirable options:
·Tubi exhaust from the factory,
·Daytona seats, beige with blue inserts.
·Three piece wheels designed in 2001 for the Ferrari Barchetta and only offered as an option for hat year on the 550.
I have owned the car for several years and done major services at 35,000 and 50,000 miles. I almost did not drive the car after the last service since I was in and out of the country but it was regularly turned on to make sure it kept running properly.
This is the last Ferrari model that was originally designed and produced as a manual transmission car. It gives you a very direct feeling while driving and it is sought after because of that.
The car has always been driven regularly but most miles are highway miles and it has not been driven hard. Never raced.
The price is set extremely low for this model because it has a salvage title from an accident. I had all interested parts replaced and the car drives completely straight and with no weak points.
The interior needs some attention on the dashboard, where the sun has caused some shrinkage, and on the left bolster of the driver seat where the leather wore out.
Mechanically the car has been very well maintained and it does not need any attention now. It only has a suspension code on because the front shock have been replaced. It needs the code to be reset and a good alignment done, although it drives straight. I will take care of the suspension code and the alignment if the car goes for a reasonable price.
It is a high end Ferrari that looks and works great and is ideal to be driven and enjoyed.
The car can be seen at a mechanic shop in San Jose, CA at your convenience.
