1972 Fiat 500 FURGONE Description

I have owned this 500 for over 15 years. It has been part of my collection of picture vehicles. (see double u double u double u dot eurofilmcars dot com ) . This car has appeared in numerous films, TV series and commercials. Last year it was fully wrapped in vinyl for a commercial. When the vinyl was removed some of the original factory paint peeled off. The production company paid for a quality repaint. I decided to strip and totally prep the car first. All minor dings and scratches were removed. All new exterior rubber seal were replaced. Seats re-upholstered to original. Many new parts installed. Please note the interesting hidden compartment under the floor. (see photo). This is not a "concours" car but a very nicely presented "driver". I cannot rent it out any more as is far too nice. No scratches. No dents. Good running condition. Odometer reads 71721 Kms (approx 44540 miles). The previous owner in Italy confirmed this mileage as correct. I have driven this car less than 100 miles in fifteen years. Quite a few regular FIAT 500 cars have been imported over the past few years. Even a few "Giardiniera" station wagons have found their way to the US. This "Furgone" version is very rare, even in Italy and this one is possibly the only one in the US. Great addition to any micro car collection or a perfectly usable business advertising vehicle.
