1992 Ford Mustang LX Description
1992 Ford Mustang LX Convertible 5pd 5.0liter
Mechanically:Car has only 67502 miles, and is well documented in the vehicle history report to show the number is actual.Runs great, strong, lots of power.Clutch is 1 year old, feels good/strong, pulls hard, no issues.A/C works and is cold. Heat works too and is hot.Everything under the hood is as originally designed/non molested.Car drives straight, brakes well, shifts well. No mechanical issues known.
Physically:Mustang has ZERO rust. None whatsoever. You'll spend hours trying to find any, but there is none. Strut towers look like they came from the factory, floor pans as well. Very hard to find these mustangs without the common rust issues, but this is one of them. Torque boxes are not damaged either.
Car shows an accident in 2011 in which the rear quarter was hit. Vehicle was repaired, but in my opinion, could have been better.Quarter panel looks to have been replaced, but could use tweaking.Trim on drivers side needs moved and corrected. The car looks and drives fine, buyer may want to look at having quarter panel repaired properly if long term/restoration goals are in mind.I have enjoyed driving the car the way it is.I have been as open about these details as possible. I do not know all the details of the accident/repair, I just want buyer to be aware of the facts.
Trim around drivers side convertible top needs bought/installed. it was taken off when the top was replaced and broken.
Window moulding/weatherstripping/rubber will need replaced.
Passenger side rear quarter window needs motor replaced. All others function up and down.
Car was painted, and I can only assume when the body work was done. It looks decent but has some flaws, pitting etc. Looks like poor prep before painting.
Convertible top was replaced 6months ago and is in perfect condition.
Interior is very clean and is all intact/original. Drivers seat shows very little wear, small snag or too. No tears. Ash tray lid/spring needs repaired-common mustang issue.
I have described the car to the best of my knowledge and ability. Car is sold as is, no warranty expressed or implied. No returns. Buyer responsible for shipping, I will assist with what I can. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
