1996 Ford Mustang Saleen Description
1996 S-281 Saleen Mustang #91 for sale.134,841 miles.5-speed with new clutch assembly and rear main seal at 124,884 miles by All Star Ford in Olympia Washington. (have receipt)..Custom PPG pearl white paint with blue metallic.Custom built stereo system, alarm, rare factory Saleen racing wing with stamped serial numbers which appear to be 35/88 but hard to read with paint over tag.Paint, alarm, and stereo system cost were over 10,000.00 alone.Car has also been autographed by Steve Saleen in a few places in the past at Ford events and car shows per the owner that I bought the car from a few years ago.Engine is stock with upgraded PI intake manifold and BBK cold air intake.Exhaust has a Mac pro chamber and Borla mufflers.Tires and wheels are 18x10 with 295/35/18 on the rear and 18x9 with 265/35/18 on the front.Tires on the rear look almost brand new but front tires have some wear on the inside tread...car may need a front end alignment.Interior is not bad for its age but not perfect.Drivers side seat goes up and down but not for ward or reverse.Drivers side window switch is bad that controls passenger side window but window is fine when using other side switch.Leather seats are cracked from age some but not torn.A/C blows cool but can't keep up on very hot days.Windshield has small hairline crack on passenger side from a rock chip. Also I have noticed the car smokes some out the tailpipes when I first start it or when it sits and idles but goes away when driving.I took it to a mechanic and he said some new valve seals would take care of the problem. The car is now 20 years old so it's not perfect but starts right up and the motor is very smooth and quiet. The exhaust sounds mean but not overbearing inside the car.The car is always garage kept and never driven in weather and does not leak any oil on my garage floor when parked.I have disclosed everything that I know that the car needs to the best of my ability. The car will also come with a Modular Motorsports Racing street mod 750SE 4.75 liter forged stroker assembly which has been installed in a 4.6 aluminum block by a reputable engine builder/machine shop out of Colorado.Short block assembly is based at 9:1-9.5:1 compression for a turbo or supercharger application but just fine naturally aspirated too.I also have two sets of PI heads that go with the car.2500.00 dollars invested in shortblock. Please feel free to call me with any further questions you may have at (406)545-8214 or a text....if I'm away from my phone I will get back to you as soon as possible.
