2005 Ford Escape Hybrid *barely running* Recent hybrid and regular batteries
2005 Ford Escape Description
has been a Great Car
Recently drove it up from south of San Diego to North of Seattle, and took four of us on a camping trip to the Gorge.
Recently
the hybrid battery was replaced ($2800)
regular battery is new, and just replaced the fuel rail sensor.
Nice roof racks, nice wheels, licensed thru April 2017.
Just lost power. Mechanic says it has a broken cam shifter? Makes no sense to me, and planning on moving overseas soon so I'm done dealing with it. Starts, runs, almost no increase in rpms when you press on the gas. Was able to drive it about a block, mostly under electric power, and then to the parking lot where it is parked now today (a couple days later). Car is parked in Mount Vernon (north of Seattle, WA) near the I-5 freeway exit. Would highly recommend you have a mechanic check it out before buying. May be mostly valuable for the hybrid battery, wheels, and other parts?
Has some dents on hood, front bumper could use paint (see pictures) Told it's a former City of Fresno fleet car and shows lots of use especially the upholstery. Detailing would make a huge difference. 178K miles. 36 mpg!
If you need me to meet a shipper, all payment must have cleared first and must be scheduled to fit my schedule and all fees must be covered by the buyer.
Sold as is, where is. Advise that it be towed. reserve the right to end auction early if feel necessary.
