1932 Ford Other Roadster Description
Up for auction my 1932 Ford roadster project. Currently located at Bruce's Rod Shop in Spring, Texas.
Chassis: Original late 32 Ford frame in great condition. Has factory reinforcement at rear axle hump and is a Model 18 (V8) frame. Original front crossmember modified to accept 8BA crank pulley but preserved and reinforced original engine mounts. Rear cross member raised to lower rear of car. Original 32 rear end rebuilt with 3:54 ring and pinion, work done by Bruce's Rod Shop. Original rear spring. Original "heavy" 32 front axle with 3 1/2 inch drop and in great shape. Original refurbished 32 spindles. Refurbished tie rod and ends and drag link. Steering box original 32, refurbished by Bruce's witn 33 gears. Wheels are vintage artillary in perfect condition, powder coated gloss black. New big and little Firestone pie crust bias ply tires. 39 Lincoln bendix brakes all four corners. Original pedals.
Engine: 1949 Mercury flathead, freshly built by H and H Flatheads. Complete with new Stromburg 97, Powergen alternater, new starter,clutch and pressure plate. Engine "run in" and tuned by H and H. New Walker Cobra radiator still in box.Transmission: Refurbished 1939 Mercury.
Body: Original 32 firewall,grill, column drop(refurbished). Body is new Brookeville with stock configuration. Body has been massaged and painted satin black by Bruce's Rod Shop and is true and straight. Firewall still needs some work but in good original shape. Original steering wheel in very good condition. No interior. New SW gauges in box.
Can be inspected at Bruce's in Spring, Texas.Texas title, 1932, original frame number. Has been registered and have personalized plates-"MODL 18", included with sale.
Car is insured and will remain in force until picked up or shipped. Buyer responsible for shipping but we can help with loading.
