Up for auction is a 1968 Eleanor Mustang that is New, New, New !! Almost every part, nut and bolt on the car has been replaced with new, reconditioned or refurbished! This Beast comes with a 408 stroker (Ford 351w small block stroked to a 408 CID motor). Conservatively rated at 505+ horsepower, you get big block power with the weight savings and improved handling of a small block motor. The motor has 60 miles of break-in with Joe Gibbs break-in oil. All new forged internals, ARP bolts, FelPro gaskets, new Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, new Hedman headers, Holley 750 double pumper carburetor, chrome valve covers, Chrome Monte Carlo Bar, Chrome Export Brace and Chrome air cleaner, New distributor and wires. The Beast of a motor is mated to a Tremec TKO500 five speed transmission and of course… new throwout bearing, new pressure plate and heavy duty clutch and a Ford 9” rear end with new bearings and an Aluminum drive shaft. A quality Eleanor body kit was meticulously installed by a skilled body man and professionally blocked, sanded, primed and painted in the correct Dupont Pepper Gray with Black stripes and buffed out to a gorgeous high gloss finish. Underside detailed. New adjustable coil-over front suspension, New rear shocks, New 4 wheel disc brakes, New Power rack and pinion power steering to replace the old clunky Ford hydraulic ram power steering, New exhaust, New Eleanor 8” wheels in front with new 245/45/17's and 9” Eleanor wheels and 275/40/17's in the rear.
