1966 Ford Mustang, very low miles, California car, black plates, one owner
This 1966 Ford Mustang has very low miles. The odometer reads 29,670. Low miles are evident due to the fact that there is no discernible wear on the brake pedal. It has power steering, automatic transmission, and its original a.m. radio. Original California black plates front and rear. Original owner's manual and original keys with the car.
This car is a single owner original California car. The Lady gave it to her grandson who was going to “restore it” and he just took it apart. We got the car and some loose parts, which are included with the car in this auction. (see photo)
The original engine block is still with the car. Check the photos showing the engine block and the only very slight ridge just starting to become evident on the cylinder bores and block, indicating very low miles. Look very closely. It's almost non existent. We don't know where the original internal engine components and cylinder heads are. The grandson couldn't remember.
The car still has its original automatic transmission and drive shaft with the car. Note that the trans and drive shaft are not photographed but are included with the car. Fortunately the trans has not been unassembled.
The exterior has its original paint (Springtime yellow). Interior is black. The car had a vinyl top at one time so there is pitting in the roof. This is easily repairable or just put another vinyl top on the car. The roof area is painted black. A new front valence is included to replace the damaged one on the car.
This '66 Mustang can be put back together and used as a survivor car or can be an easy restoration. The car is virtually rust free underneath. The only rust out area is near the left rear corner of the roof at the trunk (driver's side). There is some surface rust in places, but no other rust outs.
The title is lost. The car is sold on bill of sale only.
