1994 Ford Mustang - GT Convertible - 5.O HO - Automatic - 2 Door - white top
1994 Ford Ford GT CONVERTIBLE Description
1994 Ford Mustang GT Convertible - 5.0 HO V8 Engine - Automatic transmission with Electronic OD (overdrive) - 2 Door - Power Lumbar White leather seats - Power windows - Power mirrors - Power door locks - 17" alloy FORD rims/wheels - Heater & Air conditioner - Additional high power 12v outlet - 156k mileage - New FORD factory transmission changed at 125K miles and now has 31k mileage on it ( I have original transmission - 3rd gear not good but can be rebuilt).
I am the 2nd owner of car for last 10 years, and bought original from first, older gentleman owner in Rhode Island - Mechanically the car works fine {engine, transmission, brakes, windows, door locks, mirrors, cassette radio, a/c., heater, convertible top motor work great, etc}.
Over the years I've replaced the radiator, distributer, coil, alternator, Sparks plugs & wires, PCV valve, fuel pump & gas tank, installed new COBRA lower control arms and ball joints for greater "turn-ratio", and other standard components requiring change or replacement - with Scheduled maintenance - oil & fluid changes - etc.
Engine cranks right up! Acceleration is fine with NO knocking and or pinging of engine. I took good care of car until jerk smacked it up in a fender-bender.
The Convertible Top works fine BUT vinyl is original and worn completely but inside ceiling/header liner is fine and not torn.
The front bumper-cover & driver's side fender needs paint (at fault driver smack & I replaced but no chance to have body re-painted) - Most of body is nice & NO rust but some dings. There is some fiberglass nick/damage at only the little corner of hood where it meets the black bumper-cover & fender, from the fender bender jerk. can easily be worked.
Seats are leather but worn. Carpet is fine as is interior. Mesh speaker covers in back has nicks or minute runs like a stocking. But all of 8-speaker, MACH 460 sound system with tape cassette deck works great.
This is a somewhat of a turn-key car EXCEPT for one thing, that although it is mechanically sound and despitecosmetic appearance, it does have a structural set back: The horizontal box frame/rails in both, front tire-wells thatencompass the shocks/springs area are rusted badly (not to be mistaken for the shock tower connection at top of firewall). New York & Rhode Island winter did nottreat this area of car well, and so, there is rattling underneath when driving on bumpy road surfaces. --I mean, it can be driven away but with somedegree of caution at the very least. Requires somecutting and welding of new steel in that section.
As stated before, car runs but I have not driven it in nearly 2 years although I run it every week up the long driveway to keep tuned (purchased new auto so no need to drive). - It is due for an oil change.
Must sell to make room, and also I'm longer working on car restorations.
This can be considered for project car or what have you.
