Did you ever really have to sell a vehicle you just didn't want to. This is it. I won't let it sit out and I just have too many trucks. 6 trucks one driver and no room. So, here goes a real long lot of information. I've known the truck since it was new. I'm the second owner. About a year ago Larr, a life long friend said he was going to sell his truck. It had been pretty much sitting in a hanger in LaVerne, so I bought it. He had gone through the engine about 6000 miles earlier and just parked it. I put a battery in it and drove it home. I then started fixing everything up. The rear has all new bearings and Detroit locker, 3:54 gears,it had 4:11's. I figured I'd paint it in the future, but everything else I wanted to do is done. We better discuss who is Larry? He owns Auto Dynamic and has built some of the fastest engine in the world. Lots of record. Today you see him on TV doing the engines for BIG RED (The Original Outlaw Racer). If you saw him back in the early days he was working on engines for such cars as John Mazmanian and Warner Hodgdon. He has actually been racing his 1957 Precious Vette since around 1960 something. Over the years he's done more engines for me than I can remember. The point to all this is he bought the truck new and had kept it all those years. Just think of who's parts have been in the bed and who's cars it has towed. Larry special ordered and bought the truck new in 1965. I have a book with most of the registration and title. Goes with the truck. It was ordered with trailer tow and camper special packages. If you also ordered the big engine 352 you got the big Dana 60 rear with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern. I thought they were all 9" until the 250! We went through the rear end and changed the gear ratio to 3:54. With 4:11 gears at 55mph you were at 3500. Larry went through the original engine and did his normal magic. Runs great, idles smooth. Holley Carb, Edelbrock Intake, Electronic ignition, no headers and dual exhaust. Engine is balanced and blue printed, but absolutely stock. The whole drive train is original. Drive anywhere. I went through suspension and interior. All original gauges work. Has Stewart/Warner Volt, Fuel Pressure and Oil Pressure gauges. Alt light and Oil light works in stock dash also. Everything works. It has brake controller for electric brakes. I did convert it to dual master and discs on front. The bed is one of thenicest I've seen, it was just pristine. We lined it and put the aluminum logistic rails on side soyou quickly tie down anything. That way you don't ding up the bed. Call if you have any questions -- 951-471-0348 ( Gary) Good luck bidding!
