1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible
1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Description
The vehicle was inherited to me 21 years ago. I had full intention on slowly restoring it, but for the past 13 years the it has sat in the garage without any progress because offamily/time. The car does run and drive, but the front passenger brake started grabbing so it would be best if the buyer trailer it. The rear lower quarter panels, and the rear floor pans willneed to be replaced/repaired because of rust. There is also a dent on the rear trunk deck that was drilled and pulled. The transmission that is in the vehicle is not the original, but i still have the original number matching transmission. The parts that have been replace since I have owned the vehicle are: convertible top, hydraulic cylinders for the top, front end bushings/TREs/ball joints, all the breaking components have been replace except the hard lines, rear shocks, front fenders, and front bumper. The interior is in decent shape there is a wear on the lower drivers seat, and two small speakers were installed in the bottom/front of the rear seat. The carpet in the rear passenger area is in rough shape also.
I also have a lot of spare parts to go with the car:-There is an extra 390ci. The heads/intake/covers/accessories are all pulled from the block. The heads have been reground and put together with new seals. The block still needs to be rebuilt I was told it had a knock in the lower end.-Transmission "original" front input seal was leaking.-Front bumper "original" needs rechromed.-Rear bumper-Hood-Headlight bezels-Front grille-Box of miscellaneous hardware, carburetor, alternator, and starter.
The vehicle was originally from Illinois, and as far as I know I'm the third owner. The car is currently outside because of space, and i am hoping it is sold before winter gets here.
The buyer is responsible for shipping/transporting the vehicle. Please message me with any questions/concerns with the vehicle.
