2000 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 with the desirable long bed. I would rate the exterior of this F-150 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in a blue-ish green and gray two tone with matching gray interior. The finish shines well for its age. As with any older truck, please expect to find wear commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific truck, there is a pretty noticeable dent on the right door and another on the bed behind the RR wheel. As far as rust goes, this truck looks much better than most. You can see a few little traces of rust along the bed bottoms and cab corners, but nothing bad. The frame rails look smooth and solid. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. The bed is protected by a bed liner, too. The factory polished wheels look good and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.

I would rate the interior of this F-150 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. Inside the cab, this is a pretty well optioned truck. It has power windows, locks and mirrors...all of which are working properly. It has the nice cloth bucket seats that come with the XLT package, both of which show very well for their age. The center arm rest / cup holder also flips up to accommodate a third passenger. Behind the seats is room for tools and gear. The carpets show well for their age. The door panels are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater works as it should and the air conditioner will freeze you out of the cab. The audio system is the optional AM/FM radio with in-dash CD player, which sounds good.

Mechanically, this F-150 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The big V6 makes good power and feels smooth. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. This truck has the desirable lever operated transfer case. The lever feels pretty stiff so I left it alone. A few years ago, I broke one trying to man handle it so I don't want to do that again. A qualified mechanic should be able to put some lubricant on it and get the lever moving again without damaging it. Because of this, I was unable to test the 4WD...but I've never had an issue with one of these not working so I would suspect everything works. The only ones that ever give trouble are the ones with the little knob on the dash, in my experience. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This F-150 has a current PA safety inspection good through the end of December, 2016. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
