1982 Ford Fairmont Futura Description

1982 Ford Fairmont Futura 2dr, 87K actual miles, 1-owner, original condition, original paint, never wrecked. Super clean interior, no rips, tears or cracks in the seats, dash or door panels. Headliner sags a bit. Everything works: gauges, radio, heater, etc, except for the clock-seconds arm moves but hour and minute do not. Runs, drives and stops just as good as a newer car, drove it 30 miles when I bought it with no issues. But it will need a valve cover gasket and a thorough servicing before daily driving. Good tires. Body is very straight but it does have some small rust holes starting behind the rear wheels. Unfortunately it suffers from 1980's poor OEM paint quality, lower body section has paint chips with light surface rust starting. Floor pans, torque boxes and shock towers are solid. Driver's tail light is broke and the trim below it is damaged. The rest of the trim on the body is in excellent condition, all the glass is good, door open and shut good and seal tight, no water leaks around doors or glass! I bought it with the intention of building a drag car, but upon driving it home and looking it over, it is too nice of a original car to cut up.
