1970 Ford Torino GT Built 351C
1970 Ford Torino GT Description
This car wasoriginally purchased for a full restoration due to it being rust and dent free. We then got the idea to take it out to Willow Springs Raceway for a VARA event. After taking on thetrack, and having so much fun, we decided to build a track car out of it.
The engine was built for road racing, the standard C6 trans was swapped out for a B&M racingtransmission. The interior of the car was just about gutted. Racing seats were put in. Suspension was rebuilt for the track. Unfortunately our build was never completed. Next upgrade was to be a full cage and a fire system. And the removal of the side windows.
Power steering removed and replaced with Manual steering.
Due to a house fire thatdestroyed all of the paperwork andreceipts to the build, we have nothing to give you. I know we have spent at least of $14,000 for what we have done so far.
I would think this car is pretty much good to go club racing with some small fixes.
The car was never painted, because we thought no one would steal it if it was ugly. There are small dents in the door, nothing major. No through the body rust.
No grill is included with the sale. So no headlightseither.
I have the standard GT hood with the scoop available for purchase as well as fenders, doors, side glass and other stuff.
The car is presently in San Diego at JBA Speed Shop.
This car is for sale locally and may be removed from auction before the end of the auction due to sale of car.
