1971 Ford Torino GT Description

1971 ford Torino Gt. with a 429 big block . 11 to 1 compression.Engine has had some work done to it but can't say for sure what since it was done before I bought it.
This is a work in progress car. Engine runs good. Here's a YouTube link of it running.Transmission was rebuilt and shift kit installed. Band needs adjusting and kick down linkage hooked up yet. Open header, no exhaust has been done.New rear leaf springs.traction bars. New driveshaft. Front has been converted to disk brakes. Rear brakes are new, new wheel cylinders.New gt steering wheel, new racing bucket seats. New hurst shifter.
Unibody is in great condition. Only one small area of rust behind passenger side fender. Body overall is decent. Car was from South Carolina originally.
Close to being ready to drive. I would say a solid weekend or two and it could be back on the road.
Needs the followingGas tank leaks bad, has pin holes that leak.Driver side seat is mounted. Passenger side seat needs to be mounted yet.Dash needs to be reinstalled.Headliner has been replaced but isn't finished.Power steering hoses leak pretty bad. I have all new hoses that go with it.I probably missed a few things too.Have the original seat and console that go with it along with some misc. parts that I got with the car.

Had a question about if it runs and drives. Yes it runs, please see the youtubevideo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0a1jiUcNGc. I have only moved it around the yard an in the garage and out a few times. Still needs some finishing. Power steering lines are bad, Have new ones that go with it. Needs exhaust. Transmission needs adjusting on the band and the kick down linkage needs to be hooked up. Dash needs to be put back in. After that it will be very close to being a driver.
