1964 Ford Mustang Description

Here we have up for your consideration and other oddandunique item: a 1965 1/2 Ford Mustang "D" code model. I am told that the "D" codes are the most rare and that they were considered the GT model with the 210HP 4 barrel carb High Performance motor. This car is unmolested and as far as I know it has had one paint job, original interior is still in the car, odometer says 31K but I can not verify if this is correct. The car was passed down from father to son but not sure if there were one or two owners prior to the father owning the car. The car was a daily driver until it was parked in 2011 and reg. is non opt. so Cal. buyers there will not be any back reg. fees. The seats are in okay condition and there are some extra new seat back covers, head line is starting to come down in the rear. There is a small bit of rust beginning to show in both doors where I am told that this is normal and a small bit along the drivers side rear behind the wheel as well as a few small holes in the trunk. The pans are rust free from what I can see.The car starts and drives BUT, IT IS BEING OFFERED AS A PROJECT NOT A DAILY DRIVER. The car will need the usual TLC to make it a daily driver again.
Little history about the mustang. There were 97,705 of this first year made and this one is number 95,643 which makes this one of the last cars that was made in the last week of production in 1964. The 210HP 289 motor was offered in the 64 1/2 being the highest horse power motor for this model year. I am told that Mustang enthusiasts consider the 64 "D" code Mustang as the soon to come "GT's" do to it having the 210Hp motor and the "C" code beginning in 1965 was just a stand 289 non high performance engine.
The car comes with clean California title and no back reg. sold as is with all it's fault's, I reserve the right to end this aution early because the car is also being offered locally and there have been a few offers made. We do have a set of the knock off hub caps if you would like to have the race style rims changed back to original. AGAIN, THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS A PROJECT EVEN THOUGH IT RUNS, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THE CAR AND EXPECTING TO COME OUT AND DRIVE THIS CAR BACK TO THE EAST COAST. JUST BEING HONEST......
PLEASE ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS YOU LIKE, I WILL RETURN PHONE CALLS, AT TIMES IAM IN AN AREA THAT MY CELL DOES DOSE NOT GET A SIGNAL SO PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE AND I WILL CALL YOU BACK.
