2013 Ford Focus SE Description

I had intended to keep this car for at least 11 years (as I had my previous Focus), but have decided to enjoy my new retirement with a pop-up camper, so needed to get a vehicle capable of towing it as well as my precious cargo (grandkids). There is nothing wrong with the car at all. All my service records will accompany the vehicle.

Transferrable Wrap-Around Warranty:Since I had planned to keep it a long time, in addition to the factory warranty that came with it I purchased the top-of-the-line "wrap-around" warranty (Vehicle Service Contract) that was offered:84 months/100,000 miles. So, time-wise, this is still good until March of 2020!And one of the selling points for me was that it was, and is, transferrable!

Current Mileage:The April oil change service record, just 5 months ago, shows the mileage to have been 41,768, but two trips out to Colorado (family situation) jumped it up to where it is now.Just saying, mainly highway mileage. The tires were all replaced recently.

The Notable 2013 Ford Focus transmission:The thing that allowed me to go from Ohio to Colorado this summer and never drop below 40 MPG (even with AC on) is the built-in "double clutch" transmission.A relative who works for Ford Motor Company (designing engines) explained to me that this is like a "robot" in there shifting manually, but sometimes it's like if you've ever operated a manual transmission and you're in, say, 2nd gear while you should still be in 1st.So sometimes it kind of "lurches" a bit till the REMs catch up.That's all.He assured me it's not hurting anything, and that Ford has been trying to bring its service personnel up-to-speed on explaining it this way to its customers. My car has NEVER stopped in traffic, stalled, or any such thing.Though there was a software update, which I did obtain, I have never tried to "get this fixed," because I understand it is normal.Obviously, if there was anything wrong before or now, I would have taken advantage of the warranty, but I know there is nothing wrong.

Right Front:My son-in-law forgot I was parked behind him in the driveway and backed into me (I know, right?).We knew someone who was able to straighten it back out, and then my service records do reflect the new hood paint from Maaco.Maaco said they would not submit such a thing to CarFax, but I do want to mention it here.I try to show the area clearly in the pictures. In fact, I turned the car around and pointed it right into the bright sunlight for an additional picture.

Just above left rear passenger door window:I noticed for the first time yesterday when I was cleaning it real good that there is a little dent here.No idea how or when it came but knew I'dwant to mention it here.

Ambient Interior Lighting:This has been such a nice little feature; think movie aisle lighting, strategically placed throughout the interior of the car.And if you look at the picture where the sunroof switch is, you'll see a color pallet; that's because you can choose between several different colors (or none at all) for this cozy interior lighting.Even my new Ford Escape doesn't have this; I'll miss it!

Delivery to Anywhere in the United States:In exchange for the full buy-it-now price and 25 cents per mile, I would be happy to drive your car to the airport nearest your homethat has flights back to Columbus.I could either meet you there personally and turn it over to you, or park it there for you to pick up later. I would pay for my own airfare back. Obviously, I would require full, nonrefundable payment before heading out, although of course you are welcome to come and see/inspect the car before actually buying it.To calculate the 25 cents per mile mileage, car would be originating in Galena, OH (43021).

NO RESERVE; REASONABLE STARTING BID.
