2013 Ford F-150 FX4 4x4 Description
Where to start.
Ahh, yes, isn't it obvious?...we start with the pictures!
Lots of them. Pretty ones. I took 'em myself. High-quality images here: 2013 F150 Ecoboost (just higher-resolution versions of the images below).
2013 Ford F150
This is my personal ride - I'm selling for a few reasons. A) I have three vehicles currently (well four or five if you count projects) including another full size truck and an SUV. B) Of the three, four, or five vehicles I have, none of them are a 12 second all-wheel-drive 6 speed german rocketship. C) I'm ready for my next 12 second all-wheel-drive 6 speed german rocketship...err...car.
THE GOOD:
Oh Ford F150, so good to me, let me count thine ways....- #1 - this truck is still young, fresh, and ready to run - having just turned over it's sixty-thousandth mile - and you can rest assured on many more trouble free miles, because I've (soon to be you've) got a 3 year/36k mile factory (yes, factory - meaning big blue, good ol' Ford Motor Company) full powertrain warranty that is good til a little over 85k miles.
- While we're on the subject of FoMoCo - since I've owned it, this truck has been dealer maintained, at Nick Mayer Lincoln Ford, in Mayfield, Ohio.
- Super-well equipped!! FX4 Super Crew Cab, 402A Luxury package, Max Towing package, FX Appearance package, and factory F150 all-weather floor mats.
- Rounding out the factory equipment list, this truck has the optional, totally bad-ass Ecoboost V6 that makes a ton of power and will entertain you day-in and day-out with uber-rewarding turbocharger noises whenever you squeeze the go-fast stick.
- On to the aftermarket...
- It's lifted with a 6" zone lift ($1549 + tax + installation; roughly $2500 all-in).
- It's got big, sweet, (nearly) brand new tires - and they're Cooper Discoverer ST-MAXX tires (roughly $1600 mounted and balanced + close to $400 for wheel spacers) and they have less than 2k miles on them. These are some of the best wearing, quietest, and most versatile on/off-road tires you can buy! Look them up! (as opposed to most dealerships on here who sell lifted trucks with whatever was the cheapest big, noisy, ridiculous, hill-billy mud tires they could find).
- It's got a G2 BakFlip tonneau cover ($800 + install, roughly $1050 total).
- The bed has a tough as nails Line-X coating (just a hair over $500).
- Oh, you like you some Line-X? How about a custom 2-tone style Line-X job down the rockers from bumper to bumper? Professionally done, approx 1/8" thick (read: bullet-proof), all the trim pieces were removed and then custom trimmed to fit perfectly with the additional thickness upon re-install. Seriously, it's totally awesome, and it totally looks like a factory job, and you'll seriously love it the first time one of those big, sweet, Cooper tires decides to toss a rock at your pretty black rockers! (cost - don't ask, you don't want to know!!)
- Also good - I just had the truck professionally detailed inside and out. You're welcome.
All-in, there's around $11k total invested in upgrades for this truck (yikes! - and my wife thinks fast cars are expensive....)
THE BAD:
Not much.
- There's two small scuff marks on the corners of the front bumper from getting a little to intimate with a fence post. I've been lazy and haven't attempted to rub them out - I will take some rubbing compound to them before this listing ends and see where they end up.
- I'm missing one of the two props that hold the backflip cover up when you want it all the way back, up against the rear window. The one that is there still holds it up just fine, but I think I may suffer permanent mental damage from pondering just how in the world it got lost. (I still don't have an answer...)
THE REST:
Typical wear and tear for the age and mileage.
Honestly, probably less than typical. It hasn't been towed with more than a single-handfull-of times, and with just a little 4x6 trailer - not carrying anywhere near the 12k lbs rating. It's my daily driver. I take good care of it, and it's taken pretty good care of me. I'm sure you two will have a similarly healthy relationship.
In addition to the autocheck eBay provides, I ran a carfax report on the truck as well. Contact me for a copy.
THE DISCLAIMER:
Probably don't need to state this for 90% of you, but it's you 10% I worry about. This is a USED vehicle being sold by a PRIVATE-PARTY. As such, all sales are as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied (well - in this case, there IS a factory powertrain warranty!) I've made every attempt to describe the vehicle accurately and thoroughly. You are welcome (and encouraged) to come inspect the vehicle prior to close of the listing. If you want to have someone else inspect it, or you want to pay for a professional private-party inspection, I'm happy to accommodate - as long as you contact me BEFORE winning the auction to make arrangements. There is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due at close.
IF YOU NEED HELP SHIPPING THIS CAR I CAN HELP.
I have a few friends who work for/own car dealerships and can get really good rates on shipping. Please contact me for a quote. For a rough idea, to ship from my house to Houston, TX is usually around $800-900, while North or South Carolina is approximately $400-500.
IF YOU NEED HELP WITH FINANCING, I CAN'T HELP DIRECTLY.
I highly recommend Lightstream loans. I've personally used them on two car purchases (and will be using them on my next as well).
LASTLY - I HAVE A LIEN ON THE TRUCK CURRENTLY.
Through Lightstream. I've sold three cars now with a lien, I'm very experienced with the process, and it's very simple and straightforward. Your bank pays my bank directly and my bank pays me any amount over my pay-off. I never see your money - it is all handled directly by the banks. I can provide your bank a loan pay-off statement good for 30 days. Please contact me prior to listing close if you would like to discuss.
