1956 Ford F-100 Short Bed, Half Ton, V8, Automatic, HOP UP Description
1956 Ford F100, Short Bed, Half Ton, V8, California Truck
Selling our 56 Ford F100 which has been a California truck to the best of our research and knowledge. With a near perfect body with zero rust it has had a restoration 8 years ago and still shows well. Body is very straight with little imperfections and is painted a stock Ford Meadow Mist Green with top of cab / grill accented in white, truck was originally Light Blue. The Meadow Mist green is a nice paint job with shiny gloss paint, pictures are hard to show the shine. One small spot on hood where clear is peeling on passenger side. All glass is new with new rubbers / felt all around. Wood slats in bed are strong and sun bleached, sides of bed have been lined to prevent scratches.
Mechanically truck runs well, 272 V8 drives well and shifts gears smooth with its stock 3 speed automatic transmission. Motor is all stock with no upgrades. Truck fires up every time first couple starts, if it sits a week or more its a little cold blooded and the choke cable has to be pulled. Stock rear end with 3.73 gears ( shows on glove box ). Drives straight down the road comfortable around 50-55mph.
Interior of truck is all stock and uncut. Has new 12 circuit wiring harness installed making all lights, tail lights, blinkers, horn, heater and wipers work perfectly as they should. Speedometer does not work and I believe it is the gear inside the dash, we purchased a new gauge cluster and it will come with truck. Needs new driver side interior door panel. Rubber mat on floor is not correct mat for year of truck but works fine as is.
Suspension is completely stock with newer tube shocks installed on front and rear. Wheels are 15x6 up front and 15x7 steelies in rear with radial tires.
