1957 Ford Fairlane Description

Nice driver quality car that just needs a few finishing touches. Belongs to a close friend. This is a no reserve and no risk auction. If you don't like the car when you come for it you can walk away if you just pay our listing fees. We are not claiming this is a show car but it is a nice driver. It has a lot of new parts and has had over 10k spent on it. It has real nice new interior that still needs a couple kick panels and the rear package tray done. The 302 runs great. Its from a 86 Mercury with low miles and the intake and carb were installed in place of the fuel injection. The overdrive tranny is fresh rebuilt and has a new kick down linkage installed. If you get on it, it will shift through the gears perfectly and will fly. If you try to drive normal the tranny lags in shifting. I assume that some fine tuning on the cable will fix this but may need a professional to accomplish this. The paint is new but I consider it to be an ammiture job. It has a couple runs and the quarter panels have bondo in them. However it looks really good going down the road. I've seen these 57s bring big bucks just for restorable bodys. The windshield is new as well as the rubber for both front and rear glass. The charging system works. The head lights and tail lights work. The turn signals will need a new switch installed. The heater works, If you've ever wanted a 57 Ford I dought you will find a better car for the money. It's not a rust bucket. The trunk pan is solid. The right front floor pan has been patched as you can assume the heater core leaked at some point. Feel free to call me with any questions.
