This is a 1964 Ford Ranchero truck – originally manufactured in California and has spent it’s life in California. This is a comfortable cruiser, garage kept and well maintained. All work was done professionally by Mustang Service Center or Tyerman’s in Burbank. You can look through the receipts to see what’s been replaced, improved and fixed over the years. It’s too much to list here - see photo.
The truck has a straight body with no accidents, no dents. I have the trim for the back window only. There is very light rust on the bumper (see photo) but it can be rubbed off with steel wool.
The truck’s engine is a 289 from a 1971 Mustang. It was rebuilt on 3/15/13 at 69,087 miles (the receipt verifies this). Rebuild has only 2336 miles on it and the odometer reads 71,423. Truck has new KYB Shocks, disc brakes, floor is lined in Dynamat, Lokar shifter, new fuel pump, new water pump, new steering gear box, rebuilt transmission, new electronic ignitor, new emergency brake, new carburetor, the radiator was cleaned out and refurbished and a new Alpine stereo system. When I bought the truck it didn’t have a radio, so I put in the sound system with an mp3 and CD player.
Here's a note about the black and yellow license plates: Originally, the truck came with new, white, California plates. I wanted original black and yellow plates. My truck registration has the vintage black and yellow plate number on it but the title has the old, white plate number. The DMV will not issue a new title. They say that the registration is enough proof of the license change. For verification, the DMV must enter "specialized format" to verify the plate. With the plates noted as "specialized format," all of my info and info about the truck will pop up. I will help you through this step if there are any problems.

I reserve the right to end this listing early.
What’s wrong with the truck:
*needs paint
*carpet was put in crummy but you can pull it back to see the Dynamat. Someone poorly installed a cheap automatic transmission shifter that was cable operated. I upgraded to a Lokar shifter with linkage (not cable). That's why the carpet is not put in properly.
*I had the gas tank boiled out and a new gas sending unit installed but still, I could not get the gas gauge to indicate full. It's one quarter off. So, when the tank is full, it's at 3/4 and when it's near empty it's at -1/4 (or goes a quarter past the empty mark)
*the heating duct was bi-passed, so if you would like the heater to work, that would need to be reversed.
*dash is original but was painted with mis-matched paint.
*has no power steering
*I never got to restore the exhaust or underside of the car
