Original Owner: Vehicle was purchased from an Elite Euro Auto Body dealer in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The original owner was a older gentleman whopurchased the vehicle as a "retirement bucket-list toy." He was very meticulous in its up keep and rarely ever drove it; leaving it in absolutely beautiful mint condition at her purchase. It was a "garage vehicle," washed, detailed, and maintainedin asuburban drive way. In the winter recession of 08', he simply traded it in to the aforementioned dealer for a luxury European vehicle more practical for his "season."
My Ownership: Lover of Mustangs and American muscle. Also, anobsessive compulsive owner. Vehicle was never washed in a car wash. Was meticulously washed, detailed, and maintained for 5 hours at at time, by hand, each wash; over the years; every single wash. Under hood, also hand washed and detailed by hand, each wash, over the years.
Move: About three yrs ago I moved from New Jersey to New York City. Due to being a Manhattanite, I simply do not need to drive. As a result, vehicle has been sitting in a New Jersey suburb for the duration of that time. Family member drives it 12 minutes up the road every 2-3 days to work, so that the battery and car are maintained, as well, as cleaning and maintaining it. Any nicks/scratches mentioned in the details section of the ad, have accumulated during this time, as the vehicle is simply sitting there and the family member in question cannot take care of and maintain the vehicle the way I consistently would. As a result, the vehicle, unfortunately for me, is being sold. I returned home to give the car a thorough hand wash and detailing to take the photos for this ad a few months ago when considering selling the vehicle. And as a result, mileage and maintenance will be off a bit from picture/odometer details, for buyer, because again, car is driven up the road a couple times a week and back, to the dealership for scheduled maintenance, in the couple months since, in order to up keep it in my absence.
Vehicle is being sold "AS IS," and at a premium, due to its engine/under hood maintenance and after market interior finish upgrade. However, it will bearranged by refund or pricedecrease, howeverconvenient, for $500 to be taken off or returned to buyer from final sale price, in order to purchase a newpiston for the convertible top. It is at the buyer's discretion to use this money to repair nicks/scratches or anything they'd like to, however, the $500 is being reduced or returned for the purpose of replacing the piston. As a seller, it doesn't matter how nice and well kept the vehicle is, if the top cannot go down w/o coming back up, then the vehicle is not truly a convertible at purchase. Therefore, I will reduce final sale price by $500 or return the amount of $500 so that the piston can be replaced. Personally, I would replace both pistons so that their condition is in tandem. However, I will foot the cost for the one that went bad during my ownership tenure.
A NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit is due immediately at end of auction. Full payment is required within 7 days of auction's close. Buyer is responsible for ALL SHIPPING COSTS. I will work with you to use USHIP to set up a reasonable shipping prices globally. Deposit on vehicle not purchased,will go towards successful seller fees, re-listing fees, and hassle. ANYUNFORESEEN FEES FOR DOCUMENTATION, TITLES, TAXES, SHIPPING, IMPORT, ETC, WILL BE THE BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY.
Once more, vehicle is being sold AS IS. No Returns, no hassle. No mis-representation, etc, no nonsense because vehicle had an unmentioned scratch or nick here or there, that I haven't seen in 3 years. This is a vehicle, not a pair of sneakers. Neither of us wants to deal with issues over a car. To further make buyer comfortable, in addition to all photos and information on this ad, potential buyers can message me and then email me personally, asking and inquiring about anything they'd like, and Iwill send additional information, and unlimited pictures of the vehicle; up close of wheels/tires, interior, door, seats, exterior, spoiler, roof, etc. I will answer up to THREE emails from any potential buyer to ensure comfort, as I understand this is a large purchase.
