This is a 1940 Ford Deluxe Tudor that has had a complete body off the frame, every nut & bolt build as a resto-rod. It was built from a solid western car. It runs a Chevy 350 that has an Edlebrock intake, factory rebuilt Q-jet, mild Crane cam & Street & Performance headers with a full stainless exhaust. A walker radiator is used for cooling. The transmission is a 350C automatic with a custom electronic lock-up controller. The rear is a GM 10 bolt on parallel leafs. The front suspension is a Heidts Mustang II with power steering & power disc brakes. It rolls on Coker radial wide whites.
The complete interior is by LeBaron Bonney. All garnish moldings are beautifully wood grained, as original, using the original process, by Gerry Lillian. It features cruise control, Kenwood stereo, both heat & air conditioning & all new tinted glass.
Just a partial list of new old stock original Ford parts used in the build would include: both front fenders, outer grille panels, upper & lower hood latches, both door latches & window regulators, trunk latch & chrome handle & all the dash gages.
Tons of Drake & Carpenter new parts were used in the build. The chrome plating was done by Jon Wright’s Custom Chrome in Ohio.
This is a nice looking & driving car that has room to take friends or kids along for the ride. I have more cars than I can use as often as they deserve, so I am reluctantly offering this one to a new owner.
