1947 Ford Other Description

Up for sale is an original 1947 Ford Coupe. This car was found in a local garage and was owned by an older gentleman that could no longer care for it and drive it. It was last driven in 2013. With a recharged battery and a fresh carb cleaning, this old flathead fired right up. The original flathead is still in great shape and sounds wonderful. It just sits there and idles all day long. As far as the body on the car, it is in great shape for being 70 years old. It looks to me that along the way, it had an amatueur restoration with new paint. You can see evidence of some very minor body work and such, but by no means anything major. Just some filling of dents and scratches, no rust repairs. I see no patch panels anywhere in the car, the floor board under the carpet is really nice and clean with original paint. No evidence of any patches in the floor either. The interior of the car is ok if you plan on just driving it, but will need re-upolstered if you plan on showing it. All the chrome and bright work on the car looks decent and straight, with a tiny dent here and there. The chassis and suspension on the car is all original and is very solid. No rot. As far as the car goes, this is just a nice and decent project car for someone looking to tinker with it and drive it. The brakes on the car are weak, so dont plan on driving this home. It will need the brakes freshened up as it has been sitting for 3 years. If you have any questions or comments, send me a pm or give me a call at 330 715 3892 and ask for Paul. I can help with delivery if its within a reasonable distance. It is sold as is, so ask all questions first. Thanks.
