V6 AWD
Daily Driver! Daily Driver! I have owned this 2010 Ford Escape 4WD XLT for over 2 years. I purchased it with just 39K miles. Originally I bought it for my kid who was away in college, however I ended up driving it myself. It’s a good little SUV. Starts right up. Runs and drives smooth and solid. Although it is a salvage title, I haven’t had any major mechanical problems with the truck. It has been reliable and is ready to serve you for many years to come.
The Exterioris in good condition. It looks nice and presentable. Only up close can you see some of the defects. There are a few scratches in the paint and a couple marks on the hood (you can see in pictures). Also there is some lite rust on the underside of lift gate (also pictured).
The engine bay looks clean and the engine purrs like new. I would not hesitate to get in, turn the key and drive cross country. I have been on several road trips across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana in it and no issues.
It’s also perfect for snowy winter days; with the All Wheel Drive.
Tires are near 80%.
The Interioris good condition for the year. It could use a detailing but there are no rips or tears in the upholstery. It has all of the popular options such as cruise control, Microsoft's Sync Bluetooth System, Automatic, ice cold air, power windows, power locks, power seat etc. There a few imperfections in the interior as should be expected on a used vehicle.
Known Defects: This is NOT a perfect car. It was repaired fairly well, however there are still 2 defects I would point out. There is a slight leak around the windshield on heavy rain days and sometimes around the passenger door seal. I suspect the windshield leakage is due to the sun roof drain, but I can’t find it. So I could either permanently seal the sunroof (but why do that) or live with the occasional water bead. Additionally there is a crack in the front windshield (I can have the windshield replaced for an additional $300).
