2004 Ford F-150 Lightning Description

Offered here for your consideration is a very exceptional Lightning from the last and best year of production. It deserves a very detailed description as follows:

It was purchased new at Drew Ford of San Diego by a true California car guyand has never been out of Southern California. Before taking delivery the following was done: Installation of custom billet grille, tonneau cover and a Ford drop in bed liner. Also, an absolutely beautiful custom "ghost flame" job was done as only a Ford dealer in SoCal would be likely to do so well. This was done at the dealership and all the trim, seals, gaskets and hardware were removed before the paint work. The effect is very subtle and very sharp looking. The photos may not show the look fully and be assured it is a beautiful job, done to the highest standard. The first owner used the truck sparingly and accumulated 21,030 miles by 9/12/2011, when it was acquired by its second and present owner. It now has a total of 23,536 miles on it. The truck was in impeccable condition then and remains so now. There are about six very, very small chips/scratches, which have been expertly touched up and are quite hard to find. I have tried show them in the photos but they are not visible there at all. It should be noted that there are a few scratches on the underside of the front apron from parking curbs, visible only from the underside.There are no door dings or door edge chips. NONE. The exterior is amazingly nice. The chassis and running gear are clean and absolutely free from corrosion but have not been detailed. THIS TRUCK IS VERY NEAR PERFECT AND VERY SHARP !!!

The present owner proceeded with a comprehensive program of mechanical upgrades. The major ones being as follows:

JBA ceramic coated headers, Magnaflow mufflers and custom tailpipes withthe correct polished side outlets

K&N intake filter system

Performance upgrade consisting of supercharger boost increase with crank pulley, fuel pumps, engine control wiring upgrade, custom dyno tuning. The dyno results are 394 rear wheel horsepower @ 4900 rpm and 544 torque @2700 rpm. The dyno charts are included and all work was done by JBA, a well known and highly rated performance shop in San Diego.

Rear end gearing changed to 4.10. THIS TRUCK IS FAST !!!

Rear 4" lowering kit by Stillen.

Front 2" lowering kit by Stillen, done right with reconfigured spindles, springs, shocks, idler arm, and steering stops.

Camber adjustment kit from Summit Racing.

Full front end alignment maintaining perfect factory specs. IT SITS JUST RIGHT!!!

Also added is a complete Alpine GPS/back up camera/front parking sensor/radio.

All additions and modifications have been done to the very highest standards.

These mods/additions total over $10,000.00 verified with all receipts.

All original parts, excepting the original exhaust manifolds, tailpipes and mufflers have been kept and go with the truck.

In summary, the truck drives wonderfully, looks excellent and needs absolutely nothing. The interior shows no signs of wear, the instruments are clear and sharp. The Nitto 555 295-45SR18 tires were installed 11/21/2007 and have about 10,000miles on them and show little wear, the spare is original and unused.

Included with the truck is the original window sticker, ALL original delivery documentation, all modification documentation, even original Drew Ford water bottles given out at delivery, and more. Many issues of the SVT Ford magazine are included, as well as several Lightning and SVT trinkets. An entire folder of very comprehensive documentation is available and included with the purchase. Overall it is a large package of goodies.

I am Phil Spaid, a lifetime car guy with much experience with restorations and nice original vehicles and car guy friends all over the country. I am helping my friend and neighbor, Les, market the Lightning. Les is clearly particular about his things and I am sure of the validity of all of the information I am providing here, and I am personally very familiar with the truck. This is quite close to a new Lightning. It is only for sale because Les needs a truck to use as a truck. He cannot subject this one to that use. He is that particular. If you want one absolutely factory stock it is probably not the best one for you. But, if the modifications appeal to you here is your opportunity to buy a nearly new one with the mods at a huge discount. It looks right, it drives right, it sounds right. And like I said earlier, THIS TRUCK IS FAST!!!
