1997 Ford F-350 XLT Description

How manyOBS crew cab dually 4X4F-350 dieselshave you seen?

This truck started its life as a 2wd automatic. It was painstakingly converted, properly, to a four-wheel-drive 5 speed truck. Original mileage on the truck is around 338,000. This trucklived in Georgia most of its life and is in good physical and mechanical condition. Other than the body and frame itself, the truck is much younger than the odometer says.

The engine was swapped with a known good engine out of a 97 that was wrecked. The engine has 160,000 miles on it. Billet turbo wheel, Beans Diesel electronic fuel system with adjustable regulator, three-inch downpipe into 5 inch exhaust straight piped, 4066 air filter mod with steel elbow, stage I Rosewood injectors, TS performance six position chip ock up to 140 HP, 17° High Pressure Oil Pump, oil crossover tube,Edge CTS monitor with EAS EGT probe and EAS turbo timer. Mean Green 220 amp alternator. New block heater.

Front axle came out of a 1993 F350. It is a true Dana 60 axle, not a 50 or any other variation. Truck had 91,000 miles. New Mile marker stainless steel hubs with hub tool. Iron hub adapters, Extremely heavy duty suspension all the way around with extra springs, New Skyjacker shocks, sway bars front and rear, new rear shackle mounts on the back (just because I had a new set on the shelf) 4.10 gear ratio, Goodyear Wrangler Authority 235/85R16 load range E, stainless steel simulators, New heavy duty Luk clutch and flywheel, New slave cylinder and reservoir combo, ZF5 five speed manual trans and transfer case both rebuilt, New Skyjacker Dual steering stabilizer. New rear brake shoes and hardware kits, rear wheel cylinders, complete brake lines front to rear and across, front calipers, pads, and hoses, rear hose. Rear axle was completely gone through as well.

Interior: new multifunction switch, headlight switch, new shifter boot, Odyssey Brake Controller Valley 52810, cobra radar detector with power switch, GPS hook up with power switch, fuel pump switch for pressure adjustment, Craftsmen shifter knob, (will include the factory shifter, I lost my right hand in Iraq in 2005 so the different shifter was necessary) bucket seats in the front with 1999 Super Duty center console, rear bench seat with armrest, tinted glass, dual audio stereo with Bluetooth hands-free phone control, Pandor, CD, am FM, auxiliary, and a remote control, Kicker 10 inch subwoofer with built-in amp and dash mounted base control, Kicker 6X9 rear speakers, 5 inch door speakers front. Includes hard to find factory Ford cup holders front and rear, Ford floor mats,Red Led Accentlighting.

Exterior : switchbox control Mars light bar with alley lights (need one rotator and a few bulbs, pretty cheap) KC pencil beam off-road lights with covers, stainless steel West Coast mirrors and spotters, 2 5/16 inch drop away ball hitch,Reese receiver on rear,TSC aluminum below rail toolbox, aluminum bed rail caps, stainless tube type grill, bug shield, sun visor, Convoy Rubber Duckornament, new headlights and turn signals, LED lights and from bumper set to work with turn signals and marker lights, extremely heavy duty custom-built from bumper with tow hooks and Reese receiver hitch, bumper was entirely designed and built in-house, not machine made nor a copycat of other from bumpers that manufacturers sell, bed liner on back of cab and from bumper for protection.

And now for the minuscule issues: Paint shows some chips and light scratches, tailgate is dented up and right rear dually fender has light damage, but fixable (both by previous owner ). There are slight rust bubbles on the lower left front fender.Don’t know if the AC works, never tried it. I have the clutch safety switch to make the cruise work. I will include any extra parts I have for the truck.

This truck will obviously show signs of wear, but for being its vintage this thing is an amazing shape and you will be hard-pressed to find another crew cab dually in this condition or better, let alone a dually crew cab four-wheel-drive Old Body Style Truck. I have babied this truck since I have had it as far as maintenance and not abusing it when I use it. It is honestly too beautiful in my opinion to be beat on. I would not hesitate to take this truck anywhere in the country during any time of year. It handles good and it pulls amazingly. The only reason I am selling this truck is because it has outgrown me. I have kept building it up bigger and better and no longer have a use for a truck this size.I am no longer able to work on things in the garage like a used to so I have not been hauling in much. This truck will make anybody a great vehicle. Whether for a farm truck to haul cattle or horses to shows, a cross-country heavy hauler, or a daily driver, the choice is yours. Thank you for looking.
