1957 Ford Thunderbird Description

For sale is a 1957 Thunderbird convertible. The car has an undocumented 68k miles on it, titles were so marked when i got it and the current title followed through with that. Having done a few cars in my life it appears to be a pretty unmolested car mechanically and I would guess the motor has never been out or touched, It has PS PB, no power windows or seat.. but does have both the hardtop and the soft top. The interior is in overall nice shape with minimal wear showing. I am assuming it is a replacement due to its age but unknown for sure. My personal plans have changed so I need to let this car leave my collection and maybe another one but that's undetermined at this time. My assessment is overall its pretty solid for a 59 year old vehicle.
The caris a good driver quality carin my opinion and will show well at cruise nights etc, I have already had lots of thumbs up driving it around. If youareexpecting a total frame off rust free, restored car, this may not be the one for you.The 312motorruns excellent, sounds goodand is quietand the 312 starts up every time first crank. Transmission shifts as it should and there is paperwork with the car showingit was rebuilt by Aamco in 1999. Front end has been rebuilt andnew springs were installed as well.Fuel tankalong with thefuel lines were also done some time previously as well.The brakeslook to be done with lines changed tooand I suspect wheel cylinders too butI haven'tpulled the wheels yet to actually look as they say but they stop good.New Hancook Radials Just installed 4-20-16 as well. The paint is pretty recent although I don't know the time frame, shows well and basically straight. The doors shut very well and fit ok, shut nice too. I have no other history on the car but I do believe it was originally a black car. I didn't care because I like white, but I can get the data codes as necessary. Overall the carstill looks good and will make a fun car to do ice cream runs in. I can review with any potential buyer all the work I have done to the car as well.But take a look at pictures and ask away any questions, I generally respond well to e-mails but can provide my cell as well to interested parties.
