2006 Ford Mustang Description

By the time this auction ends we will have elected a new president. Hope it is for the better, and I hope for a safe and secure America. God bless our troops and police officers.
I bought this Mustang from a guy who needed the money and I am offering this super car up for sale to somebody who can really appreciate it. IT IS FAST and LOUD and FURIOUS. Not for the mild-mannered...you will get noticed, stared at, and challenged. You will not cruise quietly through neighborhoods or sneak up on anybody.Has LT headers, not sure of the rest of the system.
This Mustang has EVERY Saleen option that Steve Saleen put on Mustangs in 2006...and then some. Like a Comp cam, Fluidyne aluminum radiator, upgraded cast air intake, Centerforce clutch, 6 speed Tremec transmission with what I'm going to call a Pac-Man shifter, short and sweet. (I got in my '96 Corvette GS after driving the Mustang a few times, the Vette shifter is over twice as tall, the clutch, well I about put my foot through the floor). Different as night and day. My GS has a deep rumble with it's Magna-flow exhaust...the Mustang screams at you. As I said, ALL Saleen stuff: 14" front brakes with Saleen calipers, Racecraft suspension, inter-cooled supercharger, special rear fascia with center exhaust exit, composite hood, floor mats, body panels and rear wing, emblems, embroidered leather seats, sill plates, horn button, gauges: boost-temp-200 mph speedo, performance pedals.
The only Saleen things missing are the serialized firewall plaque, bumper number, and dash plaque.
It also has a high end Kenwood touch screen stereo with a working back-up camera, remote, and bluetooth. Remote keyless entry with one remote and key.
The car came yellow and at some point it was painted charcoal, they painted the trunk and door jams but did not paint the engine bay for some reason, maybe they liked the contrast. There are some touched up scratches and some chipping in some ares, look at pictures closely. Really the paint looks good and shines good, there are no dings or dents. Pictures pictures pictures. The convertible top has no holes or cuts, just a little wearing at some spots around the back edges. It is electric and works perfectly. The A/C blows ice cold, I know because we are enjoying rare 80 degree weather here in Indiana for this time of year. 48,373 miles and auto-check shows the progression of registration and mileage. Front tires are nearly new, back ones are not and will need replaced at some point, with the torque and power this car has this is no surprise. It has 20" Drop Star rims that I have a receipt from 2012 for a little over a $1000 bucks. Rims could use some attention, all black powder coat would look sweet I think.
Car starts right up, no issues. Steers straight, does not pull when braking. Shifts flawlessly with its top of the line Tremec transmission. I'm not an expert but I am guessing at least a 4:10 in the back, maybe taller and probably over 500 horse power - as the rear tires are spin happy :)The guy I bought it from thinks it has over 700 HP but there is no proof. A friend of mine said it is the fastest car he has ever been in, and regrettably I think it could take my Vette :(I don't have the space to keep the car, I have it squeezed into my pole barn at the moment, wife says don't even think about it. I'm going to try it here for a minute and don't really mind if I have to wait until Spring to get my money back. You may be surprised at how low the reserve is.
Take a look at the pictures, call me with any questions at 765-717-9314. Not before 9 am or after 10 pm Eastern time please.
Oh yeah, comes with a 3015 SCT programmer....did I mention this car is F-A-S-T?If you buy this car and don't want it when you come to get it you don't have to take it, I will refund your money minus fees incurred. Period.Shipping cost and arrangements made by buyer and I will assist shipper. I may deliver car within 200 miles for a fee.

The car shows "check charging system" light. The previous owner had the alternator go bad, he changed it with one that is working but does not clear the light. I may or may not have this resolved by the time it sells. I am researching the issue and getting the old alternator back this week. Maybe some Mustang guys will know how to fix this.

Got a message from a savvy ebayer showing a link to this car for sale at 7000 miles by American Dream Cars. Please follow the link for some more insight on this supercar. http://www.americandreamcars.com/2006saleenspdstercnvt031609.htm. They watched it being built at Saleen, all of the equipment checks out. Note the upgrades to Extreme specs, hence a $78,000 sticker. I don't know why the ID plaques are missing though, did the original owner not go through Ford? Did Saleen leave them off because of the Extreme specs? There doesn't seem to be much information for this all just being done in 2006. I am adding some links to additional pictures, one shows the Saleen labels on the door jam, this explains why they are there. Too bad someone didn't like yellow. Who knows, this may be one of those modern day rare cars. I believe I read there were only single digit Extremes built in 2006, and this is a convertible to boot. A check on NADA shows a $53,000 average retail. Great miles and all documented through Autocheck.
