1950 ford/mercury m1 pick up
1950 Ford Other Pickups mercury m1 Description
Up for sale is a 1950ford/mercury m1 that has been restored and upgraded and was described as not too flashy and definitelynot trashy but very classy and I thought that was a very honest description. Now this truck was built too be driven and enjoyed and it has been since it's completion so is ita perfect show truck NO it was built to be driven not just looked atand the mileage on the odometer is the actual mileage on the truck since the restoration was completed 5 years or soago. This truck was in the same family for a long time and was used as a truck was intended to be used as.It was used forfarm work (as most were)owned by the father firstand then by2of his son's so it has a long history with the family that it wasbuiltby. But enough history let me tell you what this truck hasreceived in the build
Thefront suspension is an after market mustang ll with manual disk brakes wich makes it handle and stop really welland the rear is a ford 9" open with 3:50 gears with a 4 link set up and it rides on a set of 15' Michelin radials. The fuel tank has been relocated to the rear with the filler neck in the rear fender so no gas fumes in the cab and it also has a custom fiber glass toneau cover on the bed painted to match. As for the power plant it is a early 90s 350 4 bolt main with an after market edelbrock performance intake and 600 cfm edelbrock carburetormated up too a 2-speed power glideand it runs down the road good and it has a walker radiator with a electric cooling fan so no issues with overheating. Now the biggest changes were made to the interior as it has air conditioning and power windows and leather seats with seat belts anda console for storageplus an aftermarket tilt steering column and new steering wheel andalokar tall shifter plus all new modern gauges and they all are in working order plus a am-fm CD player to listen to your favorite music.Every thing on this truck is new or rebuilt but like I said it is not a perfect show truck IT WAS BUILT TO BE DRIVEN AND IT HAS BEENso the paint is not perfect it has a couple chips here and there but it is still a very presentable truck that would probably win trophy's at local shows. I hate typing so I probably left out a lot of the little improvements such as the lights and weather seals and other little things so if you have any interest or questions you can contact me at 231-206-5258 and my name is Kirk
