1931 Ford Model A Description

1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe Indented Cowl in Original Restored running Condition offered by Gas Monkey Garage! First produced in October 1927, the new Model A was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. By February 4, 1929, one million Model A’s had been sold, and by July 24, Henry Ford had sold two million. By March 1930, Model A sales hit three million, and there were nine body styles available. This is the very desirable 5 window coupe with the rare indented cowl that is the subject of many Hot Rod and Rat Rod builds. This very good example was restored many years ago and still shows very well. This fairly original Model A is solid with a straight and undamaged body (see all pics) including the rumble seat area! Now there are several cars that I always buy when I find them and clean, solid Model A coupe’s are one of them. When I saw how nice this one was I acted quickly to secure it and get it back to the shop. The exterior is fairly complete with nice period correct accessories such as the “Winged Quail” radiator cap,Cowl Mounted Auxiliary Driving Lamps and the signature “Aoohga” horn present and in good condition and the paint still shows well with minor nicks and scratches. I know there are a lot of good folks out there that are wanting a super clean and solid Model A Coupe that runs and drives with the rare indented cowl but they don’t have the time to chase down every lead, so I’m offering it to you so you can stop looking and start enjoying the joys of Model A ownership!! Due to our filming schedule we cannot perform any additional work or build it for you (sold as is/where is).This car had the original seat recovered with a nice cover and the interior is mostly complete with a new carpet pad making for an easy restoration to return it back to what Henry had in mind 85 years ago. The original 201 cid 4 cylinder motor & 3 speed transmission are present and the engine starts right up with the hand throttle and ignition advance operating correctly. While this car does run and drive, no mechanical inspection has been performed (nor will it) to determine completeness or functionality of any system and it should be completely serviced and inspected to ensure safety and reliability prior to any extended driving (due to our filming schedule, we cannot perform any work on this car for you, SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS)!
