1965 Ford Fairlane Description

THIS IS A VERY SOLID 1960'S FORD PRODUCT THAT SURVIVED IN ONE PIECE. AS YOU KNOW THEY WERE KNOWN OF ROTTING IN HALF OVER THE YEARS FROM THE TYPE OF METAL THEY USED BUT IN THIS CASE YOU CAN SEE IT STORED FOR MORE YEARS THAN DRIVEN. THE CAR SAT SINCE 1999 TILL I RESCUED IT OUT OF STORAGE. WE DRAINED THE BAD GAS, CHANGED THE OIL, MILD TUNE UP, REPLACED THE BATTERY, UPGRADED WHAT WE HAD TO, AND SOME OTHER TLC TO TURN THIS INTO A DRIVING CAR. THE CAR RUNS, DRIVES,AND STOPS ON ITS OWN. THE CAR LOOKS TO HAVE ALL THE 500 TRIM PIECES AS PICTURED. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT WITH NICE LINES. IT NEEDS PAINT AS PICTURED OR LEAVE AS IT IS FOR THAT PATINA LOOK. THE WORSE PIECE OF BODY ROT IS IN THE TRUNK ON THE FLAT SECTIONS AS PICTURED. THERE WAS A CARDBOARD BOX SITTING ON THE SPOT FOR DECADES AND THAT'S WHAT CAUSED WHAT YOU SEE.THE GOOD NEWS ARE THE RAILS ARE STILL SOLID. OVER ALL THIS IS A GREAT FIND OR THE NEXT PERSON TO FINISH. WHATS ITS WORTH IS UP TO YOU. GOOD LUCK. ************. ***************. ************************** EBAYERS THIS IS A WHOLE COMPLETE CAR WITH THE HARD TO FIND PARTS AND TRIM ON IT. GREAT FOR A RESTORATION PROJECT OR DRIVE LIKE IT IS AFTER A LITTLE MORE TLC TILL YOUR READY. THE RIMS/WHEELS SHOULD BE PAINTED WHITE WITH THOSE DOG DISH CAPS AND I AM NOT A FAN OF THE AUTOMATIC ON THE FLOOR BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS REAL NICE. THE LINKAGE FOR THE COLUMN SHIFT IS IN THE TRUNK AS PICTURED AS WELL AS ANYTHING ELSE I FOUND WITH THE CAR. CALL FOR A QUICK SALE OR HIGHEST BID WILL WIN IT. HAPPY BIDDING.
