1969 Forf Torino GT
1969 Ford Torino GT Description
Pictured is my 1969 Ford Torino GT. This is an Alabama car originally that I purchased from the original owner's family. The interior is mostly all original, with the exception of the new carpet. This is a true factory air car with the engine a/c components having been replaced with a Classic Auto Air A/C system with updated 134A refrigerant, new higher capacity condenser, and a more efficient Sanden compressor. I still have the original compressor and will include it with the sale of this car upon request. The original radiator has been replaced with a 3 core aluminum radiator but still retains the original type cooling fan, not an electric fan. Car has power front disc brakes, which were replaced last year front and back, including a new power brake booster and master cylinder, and power steering, with the power steering pump having been replaced just this past month. Paint was done last year, the correct Wimbledon White. The car originally came with "C" stripes, and I have them and will include them, but frankly I liked the car better without the striping. Engine is the original 351 Windsor 2v, which I have chosen to leave unmolested, with the carburetor having been rebuilt by Guaranteed Carbs out of Largo Florida. This engine is all original and has never been opened up that I can tell, and I believe the mileage to be accurate at 106K miles based upon conversations with the original owners and the overall condition of the original drive train. I purchased the car from the original family so I am essentially the second owner of this car, with the Grand Father having passed the car to his Grandson. Pump the accelerator twice, hit the ignition, and the car fires up every time. This engine does not smoke, leak oil, knock or otherwise make noises that would indicate a problem. The only "issue," if you can call it that, is the neutral safety switch is a bit tired, so I start the car in neutral instead of park, althoughit will start in park with some massaging. All of the glass is original and is factory tinted. A Marti Report is included with the sale and is also pictured. I also have the original rims and will also include them with the sale upon request. Tires were replaced just this year and are all new as are the front and rear shocks, which are air adjustable. When I purchased the car, the right side fender and door were damaged so I replaced them with parts from a donor car, same year, also a 351ci car, not that it matters. This is a very nice daily driver, and is being offered as such. Any questions please ask. Shipping is theresponsibilityof the buyer but I will assist in any way possible. Car is sold as is, with no warranties expressed or implied.
Marti Report posted as a picture. Will email upon request.
